I was thinking about buying a house about 75 miles away from where I live on a lake. I want to use it sometimes. When I am not using it, I was thinking of finding a management co. that would take care of it while I was away and renting it out by the night to help pay for it. Would my idea work? If so, how much for someone to care for it?

Thats better than allowing the employee to come in, thinking he's going to work, and then telling him there that his job is gone. For majpr things like that, the manager should call the employee right away and let him know.

I live in San Francisco, California, run several businesses out of my apartment, and use the second bedroom as my office. My monthly rent is over $2000 and I understand that I can deduct the cost of the second bedroom from my taxes. That would save me about $12000 per year. Can I do this?

Think disposables as tissues and long lasting as towels that can last 10 years given that you have taken the right steps to maintain them.

Generally speaking, as a consumer, which would you prefer and please explain. I know it is quite broad, but also list the pros of having, for example, rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries.

My tax situation is very complicated. I'm disabled and on Social Security although I am only 37. I am not employed however I do have an IRA that I pay taxes on every year because of withdrawals. This year, I returned to college and I have several student loans. Now tax time is approaching and I don't know what to do. Am I disabled, a student, or a disabled student?

I have unopened movies that I bought a little while ago and I was wondering if Wal-Mart would let me get a store credit or exchange them. I want a Digital Camera and I figured that there wouldn't be a problem since they are unopened.

They are Blu-Ray movies and I bought 300, Casino Royale, Resident Evil, and Click. I never got around to Resident Evil and Click and I wondered why I even bought them in the first place.
I don't want to go through the hassle of them not letting me if I can find out beforehand.

My husband and I just recently signed a contract for a brand new house. It's all new construction and was on the market for 134,900.00. The builder decided to lower the price before we signed the contract, and dropped it to 129,900.00. So we went ahead with the deal and decided to buy it. We qualified for no money down, locked at 6.8 percent interest rate, and we asked the realtor if we could go ahead and get the loan for 134,900 to use that difference in price to pay off some of our debt, which come to a 5000.00 difference. She said that it would be fine. We were sch. to close on Monday the 3rd. Well, we found out yesterday that the appraisal came back and the house isnt priced right @ 129,000. It's actually cheaper. So now they have told us that they are not sure when we will close, until they can get in touch with the builder & negotiate. My question is, can he refuse to neg. the price and keep it where it is, and what does that mean for us? Thanks y'all!
