Both banks suck!
Go to a small community bank or a credit union!

Everyone has their own reasons for banking at certain banks. I personally bank with banks that offer free checking w/ no maintenance fees. As for savings if you go with an online savings account like ING or use a traditional bank and open it online they tend to offer higher interest rates versus going to a branch. Just shop around you'll find something

I know a lot of people who have been with B of A for most of their life and have heard of several recently disgusted with service, security & accountability. One persons account was severly compromised and told TS. Another person had their account drained fraudulently twice. The first time the money was recovered in the 2g range. The second time (my question is why was there a second time?) it was never resolved in the 10g range. I would go with an institution with higher security requirements like a credit union.

If savings are involved, the one paying the highest interest is favored. When it comes to checking, the one with the most benefits, the least cost, the nearest to you for making deposits, the most accessible should be your choice. Investigate on your own and ye shall find.

Stay away from BofA at all costs. Very often, you will find better deals (and service) at "smaller" banks rather than the giants.
