I get SSI every month, around $500. And then I work and get probably $250 every two weeks, it's not a lot. I start cc in feb. and I am trying to finish two years of pre-pharmacy courses in a year and half and then eventually transfer to a four year program at UCSD (which isn't really that hard if you live in the city; as long as you go through the cc, you are guaranteed admission). So, what do you think? My mom thinks that I should so that I can focus on my studies. I live with my mother and the only bills that I will be paying is car insurance and cell phones bills.

| am considering purchasing a home that is currently vacant, been on the market for four months. The seller's realtor is suggesting that I use him as a dual agent. Hmmm..... I met him during an open house. How much can I save by doing this or if I have to ask should I enlist my own realtor?

We are renting to own a house from my Husbands Grandfather. We planned to get a mortgage for the house as soon as it is out of his bankruptcy. Is there anyway we can buy the house while it is still in bankruptcy?

Or can we file head of household each since we live seperately? We have legal separation papers. We live in NC. I'm just not sure if we need to still file married this year.

Hi!
I just got married, and my husband and I are trying to get everything updated. We earn about the same amount of money, and we do not have any children. I went through some related answers, and from what I understand, neither of us can file as head of household, correct? Given that fact as well as that we don't have any children, we shouldn't have any exemptions on our W4?
My main question is when we file our taxes next year, will we be counted as married for the entire year or just the past couple of months? The reason I ask this is I currently have two exemptions taken out and my husband has one, and I'm concerned we will end up owing a lot of money because from what I've read, married couples have more taken out through out the year.
Hopefully, I gave enough information so someone could shed some light on this situation and not confuse anyone who could help me. I thank you in advance for your assistance.

I just got a letter from the local water company wanting to me to donate or sell them an easement on my property for improvements on the water lines that run through my yard. What kind of payment can I expect out of this? I know it will be based on how much land will be included in the easement but I don't really know what to expect or whether or not it's worth it.

FYI the property is in Oklahoma

I paid to use the small business solutions, but have been locked-up for days while trying to edit my web site. The help functions do not work. It has been a total waste of my money.
Has anyone used the BBB to resolve these issues? Or does a lawyer need to be hired?

I am a 25 year old living in an apt. I want to buy a house soon, but can't really afford to save up. I pay almost $800 for rent so I believe I can afford a morgage.
Do you have any advice on how I can start to get money for a home down payment....like grants or anything??

how common is it to get a loan from a parent, for buying a house?

we found our dream house, it's gorgeous and in the perfect location, but I have no credit and that means I have bad credit, right? I can't cosign, so I was thinking... my mom is wealthy, and I have been pondering asking for a loan of 35k, at a 2% interest rate. If we get this 35k, we can afford this home no problem. I'd pay back the loan in full within 7 years.

Is this a normal thing to ask a parent? I'm a little nervous asking just because to me, it's a lot of money, but to her it isn't a huge deal. I was never spoiled so I realize how much money this is and how lucky I would be to be loaned it. Am I being selfish asking for the loan?? how can I ask her for this, she intimidates me a bit but this home is just perfect and I want to give it a shot.
