When we made our product in LA, I was a production supervisor (thank God, I moved to automation software development). I could not get across to the hourly workers that the customer does not want to see crooked overlays, finger prints on displays, and upside down , or damaged labels.

The opertation is now in China, and Singapore. All the engineers, and supervisors speak perfect English. They have drawings and even photographs to work from.

The Asian workers can't understand that the customer does not want to see fingerprints on displays, missing labels, upside down connectors, loose parts rattling inside, and overdue deliverys. All this stuff has to be reworked locally. They also have to constantly train new workers because of the high turnover, in Asia!

The only one making money is Fed Ex! Some savings!

BTW: They have all the same bad habits as the "lazy Americans".

I have about $1000 at the most to put as down payment.
Since my income is limited, I can afford payments of 400-450 per month. (not including tax & insurance)
Amortized at 7% that's about a 64K house.
I live in the Midwest, so there are modest houses about that price.
Any suggestions on how to do this, or is continuing renting my best option?

I have no experience with it, and would be so greatful for any tips or tricks, things to avoid, as well as a general overview of how to "do" it. Any links to specific sites with information would be appreciated too! Thanks so much - you people are my lifeline.

I would like to re-apply to a company that I used to work for. Its been 5 years and I'm not sure if they're hiring, but I would like to put my name back in there. Do I just send a normal coverletter as if they're new to me or do I bring up the fact that I worked for them previously? Do I also need to change anything in my resume, being that this company is listed as an employment? I have also heard about sending a pre-cover letter, do I need that and if so, what do I put in one?

I am an IT consultant. I work a lot of overtime in which my consulting company charges the company I work at, time and a half for. They however pay me regular time and pocket the rest. I thought time and a half was a Federal law. Am I due all this back pay they kept?

I am getting endless job rejections, day in and day out. It is really demoralising me sending my CV everywhere and getting knocked back. Is this sort of mass rejection happening to everybody else? How can I keep my spirits up when I just feel so depressed and angry?
