I got only Visa Electron in one bank. If I go to the other bank and give them slightly different details would they be able to compare them to those I have told the other bank before?

I live downtown with at least 4-5 busy bars around my place and the weekends are getting fairly busy. I was thinking that this would be a good chance to make positive out of all the commotion from the bars at night.

First, I need to find out whether I need a license to serve on the streets. What times would be good to go out? 10- 2 in the morning.

The most important thing would be what to serve. I don't want to have a big hotdog stand and all that. I was thinking Tamale's with either meat, cheese, peppers and serve them from a thermal bag I can just carry on the street around the bars.

If anyone else has any ideas on what I could serve or start something like this I would be greatful for suggestions.

Thanks and have a good day.

Long story short, I checked my credit yesterday for the first time in years, and noticed a closed American Express card that is at collections. Shock to me! In researching, found out that my ex-roommate that I kicked out over a year ago opened this account in my name, and racked up $24,000 in charges! I filed the fraud with Amex, and contacted the colleciton agency that it was turned over to. They said they've been "speaking with me" for months about this. Turns out they were calling him on his cell phone, and he was posing as me, and even told them that my father would use his 401k to pay for these charges! I was advised to immediately file a police report against him, and fax it back to the collection agency. Amex is also working the fraud report. I have always prided myself with paying bills on time and keeping a good name. This could prove to be a huge wrench in that. Should I do anything else right now, and what can I expect in the future to clear my name? Thank you!

Do I have to worry about any special tax consequences on these investments when I retire? That is, if I draw an income stream, will the taxes just be treated as income or will the source (capital gains vs. dividends, interests etc.) be a factor?

I'm about to buy a victorian house. When I viewed it, it had holes in the roof (water pouring through) and holes in the walls, (which were in the meantime patched up) and it needs new central heating, new windows and rewiring. It also suffers from rising damp.
It was dumped on the market at asking price 349.000, by a vendor, who himself bought it just two months ago for 250.000...Any property experts out there? What offer would you make? What's going on? (I assume the vendor is related to the estate agent, by the way, they both have the same surname). Could you recommend a website or property forum, where I can get more info? Thanks a lot

My ex will be refinancing the marital home and buying me out of my ownership of the home. I will be receiving a partial pay- out up front, with the balance to be paid to me upon sale of the house in 4 years. Should this be set up as a second trust so that I hold a lien on the house? Should there be interest involved?

I'm just setting out with eBay. I have the merchandise (Lot of next to new womans clothes especially larger womans clothing) such as clothing, Mens, womans and children, collectables and crafts both next to new or nwot and nwt's. I don't have any idea what to do first. I have paypal but so far I've just used it to buy things on eBay. I need someone to guide me thru the entire process. Is there someone that wouldn't mind giving me a free hand or is there a group that will teach you what you need to do and in what order. I don't know if I have to open a store to do auctions or do I need to sign up for a merchant account to sell on eBay. Basicly I know how to buy but don't have a clue on how to sell. HELP!!!!

I have a parcel from Hong Kong currently being held by customs and excise while they figure out how much import duty tax they want me to pay before I can have it.
Does anyone know how they work it out? Do they work it out on the weight of the parcel or the value?
If it is on value the do they include the shipping into the value? For example, the goods cost £40, the shipping £30. Will I be charged a percentage of the goods only or the total amount?
If this is the case then what percentage do they charge? I just want to know how much I am likely to be stung for

I recently set up a sole proprietorship because I was receiving funds from my friends business, kind of like a consulting fee, however the fees will bring in between 10k and 20k per year.

So now my friend will write the check to my business so I can pay taxes, use write offs, etc.

If I transfer money from my business account, into my personal account, will I then have to claim that money as income on my personal taxes?
How can I get the money from my business to my personal account without tax liability since the taxes will allready be paid by the business?

Thanks,

Hi there.
I have a space that I just rented to open a store. I want to have vendors under me that pay me a monthly fee to have their products in the store. My insurance agent says I have to have them get product liability insurance first. THey don't like that and I am losing prospective vendors. I need them because I don't have enough money to buy tons of inventory on my own.

So can someone help me? I need a paper they can sign stating that they release me of any responsibility if they're products hurt someone after I sell it.

I really can't afford a lawyer and am running out of time.
Thanks
