I'm just setting out with eBay. I have the merchandise (Lot of next to new womans clothes especially larger womans clothing) such as clothing, Mens, womans and children, collectables and crafts both next to new or nwot and nwt's. I don't have any idea what to do first. I have paypal but so far I've just used it to buy things on eBay. I need someone to guide me thru the entire process. Is there someone that wouldn't mind giving me a free hand or is there a group that will teach you what you need to do and in what order. I don't know if I have to open a store to do auctions or do I need to sign up for a merchant account to sell on eBay. Basicly I know how to buy but don't have a clue on how to sell. HELP!!!!

You can do auctions without opening a store, but the cost for an auction listing is much higher than a shop listing, which is why most of the larger sellers open shops. Each auction listing carries a fee with it which will be explained to you when you submit your listing. Ebay will also charge you a final value fee which is a small percentage of the selling price. If you have a shop, and you pay monthly fees, you will still have to pay for each individual listing, but you don't have to put your items up for auction, you can just sell them in the shop for a much smaller fee. The problem is you need to have auction listings to draw customers in to see your other items, and untill you get established and people have added you to their favourites it is much better to have a higher percentage of auction listings. All this information will be explained to you when you start going through the selling procedure on ebay. Good luck, I hate to say it, but competition is tough out there nowadays so you may need it.
