I have three herniated discs in my lower back. The jobs that I would like to work seem to require lifting some amount of weight which I cannot. Should I even apply? I don't want to settle for a desk job because my back can't tolerate sitting for long periods of time.

Our credit scores are only in the mid 600's. Our business has been open in Idaho for 1 year now. Previously we owned a business for 13 years in another state, same line of work. We have owned our home for 19 months. We paid 71,000 and now fair market value places it at 150,000 to 190,000. We would like a line of credit for 140,000 to consolidate debt and finish remodeling our house. An appraisal would need to be drive by only because we have exposed walls inside. We are trying to bring up our credit scores by "opting out" of credit offers and doing some dispute clean up. "Countrywide" seemed to be coming through for us until all of this market stuff started happening. If anyone can give us direction, it would be great. Thanks, Barbara

I'm a 19 year old girl whos never had a job. I feel ready to now get a job but my father constantly tells me no one will want a
19 year old working for them thats never had a job.

This puts me off getting a job or even trying as he drills into my head no one will employ me.

Is he right? He tells me to go to collage but i'd prefair work, and its not as if he has a fancey job and my mum works part time.

I just started this job a few weeks ago and am very good at what I do. (Sheet metal fabrication) When asking my supervisor a question about a job, he basically went ballistic, getting in my face and telling me over and over that he is going to beat my ***, with multiple witnesses present (at one point, the Human Resources lady even witnessed this in her office). In my opinion, he cracked under production pressure because he has only been a boss for about a month total from what I understand. Regardless, I have a feeling the company is not interested in addressing the issue any further. I, however, am interested. Thanks in advance for your input.

Had to call Property Manager several times about issue with another tenant plus plumbing problems. They then sent us a 60-Day Notice to Vacate. When we asked Why, she said "I''m just tired of all the calls and e-mails". We live in a small county with no mediation board, no tenants rights group, no Advocacy Lawyer and most of the lawyers work for the real estate companies and won't even advise us except to say "just move".

I am trying to get in touch with my husband's former employer (surprise surprise they're not answering my messages) to find out how long our coverage will last. But in the meantime I was just wondering what other people's experiences have been. Did your coverage end the day you left? Or did it last for a bit longer?

I quit my job and have a question regarding my traditional 401k...I would like to transfer my 401k into some type of IRA with fidelity. From my understanding there is a Rollover, Roth, and Traditional IRA available. I need to know the difference between them and which to go with. Will I be able to make contributions to one of these IRAs? My main concern is why would I want to make after-tax contributions to a traditional IRA only to have to pay taxes AGAIN once I withdraw? Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks.

HR manager called and asked for 2 professional references. So i emailed those to her right away. The hiring managers told me they were probably going to decide today. I havent heard from them, and I know they havent called my references yet since I still keep in touch with them. What is up with this? I thought it was a good sign they called for my references after I know they interviewed everyone. Why would they bother otherwise? But now I am discouraged because I haven't heard anything and they haven't even called my references yet. Anyone have any insight?

I can't stand these god damn courses. My employer regularly sends employees on personal deveopment courses (soft skills, communication, interpersonal etc.) I'm on a graduate programme so there is no way I can get out of attending them. But I just can't get involved in a bunch of people in suits doing dumb activities and "teambuilding" etc. I'm perfectly capable of communicating effectively on the job. But I'm also an introvert and consequently find it difficult to get involved in these courses as they are not 'real-life'.

Plus alot of people I work with are a bunch of toffs who live off daddy's money.

What's the best way not to get noticed in these activities. My main goal is to avoid being the 'group spokesperson'.
