You should look into getting a job to tide yourself over and pay the bills, but i can tell you now that through experience that going to college is the best thing to do! You can go to college full time and work part-time. It's called "work study." You earn while you learn! But your father is definitely wrong for telling you that "no one will hire a 19 year old who's never had a job!" He is trying to put a mental block in your head to tear you down! Going to college teaches you about life and how to handle it a lot better when you enter the real world. Those who go to college stand a greater chance of surviving than those who just have a high school diploma! Go to college, get a degree, and grow and become the powerful person that YOU want to be!

Plus for the right amount of criticism, it (college) will teach you how to be a better speller, use "spell check" for your computer and other grammar punctuation tips!

GO TO COLLEGE AND GET A WORK-STUDY JOB PART-TIME!

Your father is wishing the best for you. He wants to go to college and get a better job. You don't want to be stuck in a fast food restaurant working for minimum wage all your life , do you?

Go to college, and/or work part-time in weekends. get your degree. By the time you get your degree, you will have plenty of good jobs waiting for you. Listen to your father.
Don't look back 10 years from now and said that you wish you listen to your dad and went to college. Just do it now and go to college. You can also find a part time job on the weekends to gain job experiences too. Stay focus and get that college degree.

Whatever you do college or not, get a job.
If you go to college get a part-time job. I find it unbelievable that you have gone this long without some kind of job. If you're father thinks that no one will hire a 19yr/old that doesn't have experience what does he think of a 23 year old without job experience?
Some experience, ANY is crucial in college and after college. Colleges won't think you do anything outside school except play, and if you graduate college without any job experience employers will wonder why you weren't employed. Not to mention you wouldn't have any experience with any on the job occurrences, dealing with co-workers who disagree, angry customers, etc.

Go to college, and get a job. Both will do wonders for your life.

That's a load of excrement. There are plenty of places you can get a job. Of course, without a college degree, you are limited. I suggest you go to school and work. Options are a beautiful thing, and education gives that to you. He's telling you to go to college because he wishes he had. Learn from his mistakes. In the meantime, go work at a fast food place or a golf course, there are plenty of jobs out there.

Going to college isn't a bad idea. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't get a job - and no, it's not true that nobody will hire you at 19 without job experience.
