I just left my company (which is still privately held), and I wanted to exercise my stock options. Along with the forms, there's some forms about Section 83(b) Election, but I'm a little bit lost in all the legal jargon. Do I need to do this? My stock options are ISO and I'm only purchasing vested options. So, do I need to do anything with the Section 83(b) election? Or can I ignore it since I'm only purchasing vested shares?

My wife has been working about 10 hours a week (mostly from home) for an accounting office. She has a few years of accounting experience, but not many other marketable skills. Her position is being done away with and she needs to find another job.

She wants a job that she can work about 10 hours a week preferably from home or possibly away from home just on weekends. If she worked more than that we would have to pay for childcare and it wouldn't be worth it.

Can you suggest any job or type of job that might be good to consider?

I started a LLC in April 07, and its going great I know I need to get an accountant at some point but I would like to learn the ropes before hiring a accounting service. My question is now I need to file my 1040es and pay my quarterly estimated tax liabilities. How do I do this? Thank you in advance for your answers.

And if so, how was your expreience with them?

I'm very leery of giving any of these places my checking account info. over the internet, but their terms aren't as bad as some payday loan places, so I'm hoping someone can tell me if they're legit or not.

(I know, I know, payday loans are bad. But my car is acting up, and it's really bad timing for that since I'm moving into an apartment this weekend and have to pay rent + electric deposit (thanks to my ex husband not paying his bill on time, long story) + daycare out of the same check.

I'll be fine once I get my next check on Sept 15th, my car is paid off and my rent, electric, daycare and my cell phone are the only other bills I have going right now.

I know the interest is outrageous, but if I keep driving my car the way it is 1)I'll probably damage other parts, so it'll end up costing more to fix, and 2)if it stops running completely, I'll have to pay to get it towed anyway...

Thanks in advance for any input!

I have some things in collections and I can't seem to find out where they are. I have no clue to where I need to start to clear up my bad credit. The collection agencies have not sent me anything but there are some bills that I need to pay off that had went to collections.

My sister-in-law and I have started our own business as wedding planners and floral designers. Our business is only a year old but we've already obtained a good clientel. This business is home-based and I was wondering if we need to fill out a General Partnership form. Also, do we need to obtain an employer tax id? Thanks for your help!

I'm using MSMoney. It's a great tool but time consuming. What has worked for you? How did you make it easy enough that the whole family was able to participate?
I make a very good salary and have a fantastic career, but still find that we are living paycheck to paycheck.
Any advice would be great.

I own a home in Gilbert, AZ. I have a loan on it for $290,000. I have had it on the market for $309,000 for a while but can't sell it (Unlucky me, it used to be worth $360,000.) My 3 Year ARM adjusts in February of 2008. My current payment with taxes and insurance is $1950. I can't rent it for more than $1400. When my rate adjusts my payment is going to go to $2300+. I can't find a loan to refinance it as all the banks have scaled back their LTV ratio on non owner occupied homes. I have great credit (720+.) I've already remodeled the home (i.e. it has granite countertops, new appliances, etc.) WHAT DO I DO!?!? PLEASE HELP!?!?!

I believe we are heading for a recession in the next year, or at least very slow growth. With the housing market soft, what should I invest in to look for growth.

I would figure investing in companies or sectors that people must buy, like food staples or household consumables like paper. Any ideas?

I was unemployed for several months and wasn't able to make even the minimums on my credit cards. Well, I have a job now and I've paid some of my cards, but some had already gone to collection agencies to hound me. I paid the creditor directly (for example, Sears) and not the collection agency. I just went online and made my minimum payment, which included lots of late fees and stuff. Does the collection agency have to back off? Or will they keep hounding me?
