I have receipts from my school, like for textbooks, and im scared that the ink will go away which it will. So im hoping that highlighting the receipts will help to preserve the ink for tax purposes. Do you think it will work?

What happens to the balance in the Profit and Loss a/c?
The "Profit & Loss a/c" is opened anew every accounting period. The "P & L a/c" relating to a particular accounting period is independent of the "Profit and Loss a/c" of any other accounting period.

Here's my situation: I'm 22 and graduated from a reputable college a few months ago. Now I'm living at home and in the process of applying to professional school. I regret not making many friends in college, because now I'm stuck at home by myself, sad and lonely. I found a job as an SAT tutor that pays $25/hr, which is great, but I won't have the chance to meet new people or make new friends, aside from the high school students who I will be tutoring alone in their homes. So, I'm thinking of getting another job in addition to the SAT job where I can meet more people my age. Where should I work? Starbucks? My concern is I have a degree and shouldn't settle for minimum wage. Or maybe I should for the purpose of meeting people? Or maybe at a restaurant where I can earn tips? Any suggestions? I live in San Jose, California. Thanks :)

Ok.. I have rental property that is in another state.I rented it throught the paper. I stated in the add that there was a security deposit of $700 and an additional deposit for pets of $300.
I found new renters. Great...
Well she called me the day before she sent me the deposit and rent and asked if they could pay the pet deposit later.
I told her NO we needed it now.
Well when I received the rent and deposit it was without the pet deposit of $300.
She called me that day and asked if we received the check... i told her yes! but, It was short $300... she said oh.... I am sorry... We will send it to you...
Its been over a month... NO PET DEPOSIT... She has 4 cats...
What should I do?
btw... this property is in Arkansas...
Any advice will be greatly appreciated....

i'm being charged $390 a month for child support right, i just got a new job that only pays $9 dollars an hour. i realize when you have a child you have responsibility but is there any way i can do something bout the high payments? why do some people pay $200 hundered a month and some pay $390?

In group consolidation, group exchange rates are adopted to convert foreign subsidiares assets, liabilities and P&L. Problem arise when subsidiaries which need to follow a goverenment deternmined exchange rate (E.g. Thailand needs to follow the Bank of Thailand exchange rate). Exchange difference arise in elimination of intra-group receivable and payable. Can anyone advise what is the generally accepted international accounting treatment for the above? Say for example, a parent company and a subsidiary has HKD and THB respectively as its functional currency. And the group presentation currency is also in HKD. There is USD1m intercompany payable from the subsidiary. The parent company booked the receivable using the group USD to THB rate of 30.00 whereas the subsidiary booked the payable using Bank of Thailand rate of 34.00. So, how are we going to deal with such exchange difference?

If I were interested in doing this, how would I go about it? I would like to educate/prevent the disease. I have my BA in public relations and have several other friends who are interested in helping me get this off the ground. I have a few questions though... Do grants pay for peoples salary? If so, whats a reasonable amount? Do grants pay the lease on property for non-profits? Where can I go for more info on grants? Must they be renewed yearly? Any other helpful information?
