And if so, how was your expreience with them?

I'm very leery of giving any of these places my checking account info. over the internet, but their terms aren't as bad as some payday loan places, so I'm hoping someone can tell me if they're legit or not.

(I know, I know, payday loans are bad. But my car is acting up, and it's really bad timing for that since I'm moving into an apartment this weekend and have to pay rent + electric deposit (thanks to my ex husband not paying his bill on time, long story) + daycare out of the same check.

I'll be fine once I get my next check on Sept 15th, my car is paid off and my rent, electric, daycare and my cell phone are the only other bills I have going right now.

I know the interest is outrageous, but if I keep driving my car the way it is 1)I'll probably damage other parts, so it'll end up costing more to fix, and 2)if it stops running completely, I'll have to pay to get it towed anyway...

Thanks in advance for any input!

Stay away from payday loans. The interest rate is over 300%! A loan from an actual loan shark would be better.

Have you considered asking your boss for an advance to take care of the car reprair. Some places will let you pay it back over a couple weeks.

Other alternatives would be a garage sale, pawn something. Just stay away from payday loans.

If you are getting paid in 2 weeks, wait the 2 weeks to get your car fixed. Taking out a payday loan is making a deal with the devil and you may never dig yourself out of the hole.

Do not do it. You will make a financial burden. Believe it or not your financial situation would only get worst. Check out Prosper.com. I highly recommend it. Prosper is the eBay for money. This is people to people lending. This is not a payday loan shark or a bank. The site has plenty of free information for you. Prosper has been published in magazines such as Newsweek and Money. Also, they have been featured on several national TV newscasts.
