I switched my tax papers at work so I was exempt. I needed the extra money for tuition. At the time, I was told I could switch it back for the following paycheck. I went to switch it back today and the lady in charge said that from now on they can only change it twice a year, July and January. I don't want to have to pay a lot in taxes, is there any law or anything about this? And if it really isnt possible to change, if I take the money that would have been taken out and save it in an account, will that be about how much I will owe in taxes???? I can't afford to pay a ton in taxes, please help!

I've been working at my job for almost a year.

Every year we have 10 FED (sick days) & 10 vacation days. I had a bad flu this year, yet i had a doctor's note to prove it. They counted it in my 10 FED days. then a couple other times i tried to get time off by useing my vacation days but they wouldn't let me so there goes the rest of my FED days.

I still have 10 vacation days but when i asked to use them MONTHS PRIOR i get a "No" or a stupid excuse.

I have a friend coming from the UK and want to take off just 2 days to go visit her. I haven't seen her in years. Of course, they would not let me use my vacation days. They told me i NEED a doctor's note. I'm not surprised.

I was just wondering if there's any way for me to somehow get time off work? any excuse? pretend i'm sick and get a doctor's note? Sorry, i'm determined. =P

Of course, this job isn't my career and i'm just saving up for University.

We bought some land in Missouri from a relative and after living on the property for over 20 years we found out the whole house isn't even on our property. It was bought from a family member and they refuse to grant us the land. Is it possible to get the land and the house? I'm sure it will be costly, what are your recommendations?

What is the total commision (I heard 5% usually)... does this mean the buyers agent would make 2.5% of that?

Can an agent give a price break in the sale price of 2.5% if the buyer does not have an agent?

As you may or may not know currently, putting some one your account as an authorized user will increase that persons FICO score. (You are using the history of some one else).

I have heard that starting next month that this is no longer going to be the case? How true is that? What is the deal here? A person will be put on as authorized user but his or her FICO will not go up? When will this take effect? If some one is already an authorized user are they grand fathered in or will their FICO go down?

Lastly, I have been told that if the people do not have the same last name or it can not be proved that they are related that they will be invistigated for fraud(?) How true is that?

Please help!

My husband and I are having to get a house, and we don't have enough money to put down on the house. So we plan on getting 100% financing can someone tell me what this will do to us. What kind of mortgage should we expect it's a $175,000 house and I was wondering how much monthly the mortgage payment should be if we get a 30 year mortgage. We should be paying 20% down but we don't have $30,000 to pay. We both have excellent credit. Also how much does utilities run on a house, it's two floors and we have electricity and gas, then of course water, sewage and trash to pay. Someone please give us an idea of what kind of situation we will be in.

I think it is good for people to know that even if they are deep in debt they can get out of debt if they work hard at it, and know that others have and are doing it. Once upon a time, our family had 30K in credit card debt and now we are down to 8K. We plan to have it all paid off in 18 months. How about you?

I can understand if one is performing below expectations, but what is the reasoning behind a verbal warning for not exceeding the expectations? I understand that for many, exceeding the expectations is a goal, but for others, the bare minimum level of accepted performance is just fine? Is there an ulterior motive by management for that employee? Is it a sign that management cares enough to use a tactic such as this to strongly suggest that the employee make an impression for some plans for advancement? Or is it management taking advantage of an ambitious employee? Your thoughts are appreciated.
