Thanks for the answers so far, but I was wondering if anyone knew an actual number? I mean, not every single American is in debt.

Most people are in debt. But to say that everyones is in debt would be like saying everyone watches T.V. Most people are in debt. All I have left is my mortgage and in 12 years that will be paid off and then the number will be one less. Good Luck
