I'd rather work 4 tens and get it over with, that
way you get 3 days off instead of 2.

I have worked both and the answer depends on your lifestyle. If you have activities that occupy your weekends then 4/10 is better. If your lifestyle involves evening activities then 5/8 is probably better.
Of course if you like to take short trips then 4/10 is the way to go.
Don't forget to factor in thngs like Holiday pay. with 4/10 if monday is your normal day off then you may not get Holiday pay for those days. Check with your Personel department.
One other thing is that most people end up spending more money on a 4/10 thatn they do on 5/8 because of the added free time.
Also incase you were wondering the "day" that you "loose" on 4/10 is Wednesday.

I depends on the person. I know most people would probably prefer to only work 4 days a week, but some people have a hard time working 10 hours. It's really a personal choice.

I would take the 4/10 schedule. It beats the usual summer 5/12 with occasional Saturday thrown in.

I too, have done both and found the 4/10 difficult at best. Not enough time in the evenings for cooking, cleaning, laundry, children, or entertainment during the work week, and too tired by the end of the week to enjoy the 3 days off.

I've done both. It depends on the type of job you do. I found it very exhausting for me to do the 4/10 schedule, so I ended up switching back to the 8/5 schedule.

I've worked both also!!! I think it is up to you, what you can handle and your schedule will allow...4/10 is nice cuz it kinda seems like your weekend is a little longer..but be prepared to work the ten hours! Good Luck

I've done both. The 4/10 is tiring, but you get a day to run errands, set appointments, etc, so it was well worth it.

If I had a choice, and I don't, I'd much prefer the four tens and have three days off every week.
