We already have a little credit card debt and we are trying to stay debt free and my friends invited me to dinner and movie. I haven't seen them in years. Do you think it's ok to charge it?

We dont really know about different percentage rates and what they mean. We are going to use a VA Loan. We are buying in Columbia SC. We know to get a newer home. But what else should we know.

for instance my soon-to-be wife and I both have good credit history. She has a better credit score just do to the fact that she has a longer history of good credit. I have only had my 1st credit card for almost a year now and I have been making timely payments in full and they have already raised my limit once so I am sure my score is fairly good as well. If we both decide to combine our bank accounts and credit cards, etc., what affect will this have on our respective credit ratings?

My injuries were severe. I had a laminectomy, fusion of the vertebrae which required 4 screws and 2 rods, and 2 weeks in the hospital. I will have to live with chronic back pain forever. Employer denied me a workers comp. claim form, because he said that I did not get injured at work(I know that is not for him to decide). I now am working with an attorney. Someone out there must know approx. how much my case could settle for. Thanks.

I am selling a home and have a question about earnest money.

The buyer signed a contract on June 20, 2007, the closing date listed on the contract was July 31, 2007.

The buyer put down $1,000 earnest money, and paid a $100 option fee, and the home status was moved to option pending, ( so we had hardly any showings after that).

The home was appraised on July 12, 2007.

The home was inspected on July 20, 2007, and the inspector noted a few small repairs, all which could have been completed for under $500.

On July 24, 2007 the agent contacted my agent and said that they wanted to terminate the contract because they didn't want to wait on the repairs to be completed.

They are now requesting that we give them their $1000 earnest money back that the title company is holding.

Do we have to do this or should we be given these funds because we took our house off the market for this buyer and they backed out? What does the option period / $100 fee mean?

I have been in my apt for about 2 months, me and my boyfriend signed a year lease, but now we are looking at possibly buying a house. What would happen to the year lease we signed if we moved out before the year was up?

Thanks

I am a first time homeowner and my primary homeloan is an Interest-Only 5/6 LIBOR ARM. It was explained to me
by both my real estate agent and the mortgage guy as a wise thing to do given that the Atlanta housing market
is 'always strong' and if you think you 'might move within 5-7 years'. There was (and still is) a chance I may
need to move within that timeframe and it's true Atlanta has been a hot market for quite some time(until now). So I decided
to go with it eventhough I wasn't quite comfortable with the idea, but I wrote that off to first time home buying jitters and trusted the 'experts' I had.

So, I am wondering if you have this type of loan, what is the best way to protect yourself? Should I refinance to a 30 or 15 yr fixed rate? And if so, is it a situation of the sooner, the better or should I hang on until I near the end of the 5 year period? I am 2 years into my 5/6, so I have time before it begins its potential jump. My job is stable.

Okay so I worked at Little Caesars a while back. I've been calling since july to ask about my paycheck. I quit in June. We called and they said the manager has left on disability. My mom says she has a feeling that they did not turn in my time card. Is there any other way I could prove that I worked the two days that I did? Or is it possible for them to just get off the hook of paying me? Thank you

I have tried websites where you have to pay for a subscription to post a request and hope that someone replies, but never had any luck. Where can I go to find an Angel Investor without having to pay a subscription? Also, all I ever get are these people claiming to have a bank and can offer loans with a security deposit.. but we all know they all are scammers. I need to find money to invest in real estate sometime around Janurary or Feburary. Property will have a quick turn-around and high profits. Again, where can I find lagitimate Angel Investors..?? (I will report those that I think are inposters trying to scam me)

I am about to start my first year of law school and have been thinking of becoming an entertainment lawyer. Apart from core subjects, which electives or areas are good to choose? I reckon typical choices would be Family, Insurance, Employment laws. Will acquisition or commercial or property or criminal law be helpful?

I recently recieved, and activated, my Capital One Platinum Visa credit card. One quick question I had, for anybody who knows, if I were to go to my bank's local drive-thru ATM, would I be able to withdrawal money from my card? My card has a $300 limit. Yeah, I know it's low... but, it's my first card. So, let's say I was wanting to withdrawal the full $300, would I be able to do that? Would I have to pay interest? Because, right now, I will not be charged interest until February of 2008. If somebody could please answer my question, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!
