First of all it is the law! Secondly I am willing to bet that you have used some of the services that taxes pay for. As a matter of fact I have noticed that those that complain the most want the most and frequently pay very little compared to others.

No, you do not have to pay taxes. You have the option of going to jail instead. You pay taxes in this country for the opportunity of living here and enjoying everything your taxes pay for. Tax rates in the US are much lower than other nations and you get more for your money. Pay the taxes and thank God everyday you are an American.

You're joking, right? How else do you expect to pay for the services that the government provides? Fire, police, schools, roads, aviation safety, highway safety, defense, yadda, yadda all come from tax revenue. If you've got a better way to fund it, I'm all ears!

To pay for roads, schools, the military, all the government programs that help the poor and disabled. The list goes on.
