Just either excited or nervous or whatever but I have three quality phone interviews with a company and now will be going there (August by the way not the time for setting up in-person interviews). Phone interviews went well and salary was discussed. Just trying to gauge things now. One friend says at this point the in-person is more formality to check me out, etc., and make sure I'm not a complete loser or whatever. Just wondering your thoughts?

I was injured during a work-related function (motor-vehicle accident during a work summer outing).

This was last week. There is a chance soon (maybe as soon as this week) that I will be quitting my job for a new job.

If I leave my job will I still be eligible to have my medical bills taken care of under workmen's comp even though I would no longer be employed by the company?

The letter states that I can notify the C&S lawyer office in writing that the debt is disupted by me. And the lawyers will obtain and mail to me the verification of the debt. If I still dispute the debt after that, then what happens?

Saw the movie 'Transformers' and this is what occurred to me during a particular scene, thought it might be fun for the insurance folks to debate (apologies if you find it too spammy). Maybe the answer is to try and sue the car's leader, Optimus Prime, but I don't know what insurance court can hold accountable a sentient robot from outer space.

Aren't you glad you're not my agent? . . . lol.

I worked 2 years on the client site. My old boss left and so this new one came in and is documenting the group's work processes to detect what redundancies are there plus, she can't hire anyone new. My old boss will tell me 1 month in advance if there's no permanent position but this one won't. I don't want to quite after I've worked there 2 years, plus, I want to be able to apply at the company without seeing that I quit before my temp assignment is over. What can I do in the meantime?

My job is so boring and I get all my work done within the first 2 hours of work and thats when I work at a snail's pace. I have minimal supervision (my bosses stay in their offices with the doors shut or are never here). I don't want to surf the net all day, play games or read books/magazine. Just some simple things I can do at my desk that aren't overly obvious and waste minutes, hours or even the whole day even. Even weird suggestions are great!

I recently donated about 14 bags of cloths to the Salvation Army. All of the cloths were in great condition amd some of them were even brand new. I used the valuation guide the Salvation Army had for donated items and it looks like I donated about $2,300.00 worth of clothing. I normally file a 1040EZ as I do not own a home or have intrest on any accounts to claim. Would I benefit by itemizing these contributions? More specifically would I get more money back itemizing rather than taking the standard deduction on the 1040EZ?

I am an independent contractor and am contracting myself out through my own business. I have an accountant, but I am still not understanding how exactly business taxes work. For example, if I make $10,000 per month, how much exactly will taxes be (both state & federal)

In addition, what can I do so between paycheck & tax filing time to allow me to keep as much of my paycheck as possible (legally) So, lets say I make 10K, someway that I only pay 2K (or nothing!) in taxes.

Oh yeah, I'm in the state of maryland.

My wife and I were in the process of purchasing a home. Our mortgage was suddenly denied before the deadline. The seller's realtor has been communicating with us because our realtor is out of town. He gave me the paper I needed to recieve my deposit back. Two weeks after returning the signed paper and not recieveing a check or response, I called the seller's realtor to ask if he recieved the fax. His exact words were, "Yeah, I got it, but the seller is (angry), because they wanted to move quickly. I don't think you'll be getting it back".

Is this legal??
