I was having a party the other night when I decided to show someone on ebay a piece of clothing I was interested in. Well I guess I forgot to log out and the next morning I find out someone at the party bid on a boat and won it. I've contacted the seller and they said they don't care and they want the money (almost $3000), and if I don't pay they will take me to court. What can I do, the seller will not back down and I simply don't have the money?

Ok, I know absolutely know nothing about taxes whatsoever but could I file taxes even though I don't work and don't have any real income coming in? Me and my bf aren't married so from what I hear he can't claim them because they aren't his biological kids. Who can claim them? Their real father can't because he's not in the country anymore. I live in Indiana, if that makes any difference.

I recently asked for a debt validation on a charged off account and have previously disputed it with CRA's and still state it's valid. What I wanted to pin point was the date of delinquency and amount said paid on last payment. Wrote a debt validation letter sent certified. Got a response from the company stating that the information I want is "frivolous" according to Federal regulations because I have failed to prove sufficient information. Letter claims I seem to be working with a Credit Repair Agency, which I have not been and claim the money I am giving them could go to settling the debt. HAHAHA. Just trying to validate the supposed amount owed and who owns it, since Ive been getting collection notices from some other company. ANYONE WITH SOLID ADVICE?

I just moved the balances from about 6 credit cards to one card where I have 6 months of zero interest rate. I have about $6,000 to pay off. My question is will the consolidation ALONE have any effect on my score? Meaning before I start paying down the debt?

My boyfriend and I just opened a joint ING savings account and he was wondering if we will have to pay taxes on the interest earned through this type of account or that we will have to claim them on our taxes at all. Any information will be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

4 years ago my wife and myself purchased a home in Ma. Needless to say, We paid alot. At the time, the market was hot and we had relocated from a market which had a significantly lower home prices. In order to continue living in the lifestyle we had grown accustomed to, we did some "creative financing". We took out a no interest loan for the first 2 years and were lucky enough to refinance before the market cooled down. We also took out a Home equity line of credit. We were able to secure good interest rates on both but the monthly output is substantially more. Combine this with a few life changing events, we find ourselves on the verge of forclosure or bankruptcy. Are there any better options available? If not, which of the 2 options will be easier to recover from? By the way, selling the house is out. It will not appraise for what we owe.
