I'm studying for an exam to become a Certified Bookkeeper and this question stumped me. The choices are asset, expense, liability or revenue.

Shouldn't the account name end with "Revenue" or "Expense"? I think then I'd know the answer.

He told me that he could save me $3000 per year if I become a LLC? It would cost me bet $600 to $800 a year to pay him to administer this.

Has anyone else done this? I would love to hear from hair stylist or other people who are self employed.

Thank you!

My wife just finished having her annual review and her boss refused her a raise because she already had a small increase in wages after her probation period was finished (first three months.) so even though its been a year since she was hired its only been 9 months since her last raise. Does this sound alright? I didn't know what to tell her.

Hello all:

Above I extracted some text from the site forsalebyowner.com
It explains the benefits for real estate agents, to join the site.
Everything seems related to this MLS thingie...check the text:

What is the ForSaleByOwner.com Agent Network?
The ForSaleByOwner.com Agent Network allows licensed real estate brokers to capitalize on the rapidly growing Flat-Fee real estate market. ForSaleByOwner.com has paired the marketing power of the MLS with the efficiency of the Internet to create a hybrid real estate marketing solution for consumers that is extremely popular.

If need to see the full text, go here: http://www.forsalebyowner.com/realtorSignup.php

Can anyone please explain what is this MLS thing, and how does this work in the site? ITry to explain this to someone that is building a Real Estate site, and needs to understand the process of the MLS feature.

Regards
Nuno

This has been bugging me--in Calfornia we are required by state law to have auto insurance and we have to purchase it from private companies.
Since the state requires this I think we should be able to deduct the amount of the premiums from our taxable income on our state tax returns.
Does this make sense to anyone else? Serious answers only please--
Thanks

I want to shop for the best (lowest) rate. My credit score is 800+ but I am told I have to allow my credit to be "run" in order to "quote" most rates. Does running credit lower a credit score, or is this subjective and based on interpretation?

I just got laid off from a $20 an hour job, wondering wether or not to go back to school and try to get out of workin labor and union jobs, but if i went back to school, I am not even sure what I would go into it. I am 24 years old and have responsibilities such as my apt, and other bills. I have no continued education and fear its too late to go back, and I am just seeking some opinions or something, maybe a 2 year technical school? I dont know, I worked with cars since I was 16 and gave that up, got into assembling Mining trucks and loved it but I cant deal with the constant lay offs. Can anyone share their experience or advice?

According to my cousin, management consultancies such as Accenture are just companies that sell software rather than actual consult on strategies like Mckinsey. What are thoughts on this?

We have not filed my husbands 2005 or 2006 1099's. We couldn't afford to pay. We are definatly filing at the beginning of this year. The 2005 1099 was for about 31,000. And the 2006 1099 was for about 34,000. We really want to clear this up and get straight with the IRS. He now has taxes taken out of his check. My question is....when we get a huge bill to pay back how does the IRS go about computing how much you pay back and when? Also if we can't afford the bill can we file bankruptcy on taxes? We are terrified for the beginning of the year to come because we are so afraid of how this is going to hurt us finacially. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please someone with experience in taxation can explain to me how this is legal?
Lets say I bought a car for $60,000 dollars and I paid 7% ($4,200) dollars tax at the time to register the car (this is not leasing) after two years If I sell the car for $50,000 dollars the new buyer will have to pay $3,500 dollars in taxes. If the second buyer sells the car one more time the third buyer will also have to pay taxes again. Ok since the government is collecting taxes from every sells, why is the first owner of the car is not entitled to get back his taxes since only its been used for the $10,000 worth of the car, is there any law a such? please serious answers only.

i know that the reloadable prepaid visa cards charge a monthly $4.95 fee, and that reloading is $4.95 . Is it that the extra $4.95 you pay to reload goes onto the card and that becomes the monthly fee in essence? If someone could explain to me how this works i'd greatly appreciate it.
