According to my cousin, management consultancies such as Accenture are just companies that sell software rather than actual consult on strategies like Mckinsey. What are thoughts on this?

Accenture and some of the other big consulting companies have actually started selling software for SAP and Oracle. They've been doing software implementation consulting for many years.
