I noticed that when I type my boyfriend's name in a yahoo search bar a lot of results come up for his name and old address as his 2003 tax refunds came back as undeliverable. I haven't told my boyfriend of this yet and not sure why he wouldn't have persued getting it, but where can we call or ask about claiming that now that it is 4 years later? Possible? Thanks!

I just opened a Savings Money Market Account with USAA today. I just noticed that the account is not FDIC insured. When I was talking to my customer service rep he said that it will not "lose" money. How is that possible if it is not FDIC insured?
Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

A few years ago i allowed my ex-husband (we were only seperated at the time) to claim me on his taxes. He did and got approximately $7000 back. Two years later, we found out that some income wasn't reported and he filed for spousal relief. So... now I owe the IRS about $6000 and he gets off scott free. He made $95000 that year - I made $11,500. Is there anything I can do now???

I always thought that the whole thing amounted to a company giving money away for nothing (having a company's logo represented in some random spot). How about how they have like 100 baseball card-sized logos stuck on one spot of a car, that wouldn't be seen so well while the car is running.

Why does Coke, Budweiser, or say McDonalds even need to spend anymore on advertising? Is it only a scheme to keep ad agencies guaranteed employent? I mean its unlikely coke or any of the top ten companies would ever lose ground as far as sales. Right?

I think there should be a universal shoppers card, and that is all you have to carry around. Who wants to volunteer to get this started?

I work as a college admission counselor, and travel to community colleges twice a week. I would like to get a GPS navigation system, as I've discovered that I lack an inner compass and frequently get lost (my atlas has been helpful, but it is dangerous to consult it while driving). I would think that 90% or more of my usuage of this product would be business related, but I don't know if I would be able to write this off since I'm not self-employed. Any thoughts?

just started this job & I was hired to eventually be the supervisor of the office. Well it has been a rough couple of weeks adjusting to the new job & I vented about the current boss & just the job to an employee that has been there for many years & who was basically passed over for the promotion to supervisor (for which I was hired). This person was reprimanded today for telling me she wanted to quit, & I told management, but today instead of her a tongue lashing from the owner, she blurts out about what I wrote on a blog. She did not give details, but she basically said I posted a blog about the current supervisor. I am wondering if when they do actually fire her, will she let it all out? I went and spoke to the supervisor about this & was up front about EVERYTHING, & the supervisor told me that this is the norm of what this person does. She tries to avoid any responsibility by focusing on others. I am afraid she will give all info when they do decide to fire her. Any advice?

I had a credit card which I lost track of after moving around every semester...with a $500 balance. 6 years after graduating, I get a knock on the door from a guy serving me with a lawsuit for $2500, I hadn't heard a thing about it the whole time. I settled with the lawyer before going to court, and as I have been told 3 times now by the firm that sued me, that it should not appear as a judgement on my credit report. However it does show up on my Equifax, not the other, and has absolutley killed my score. They investigated and claim its correct...any suggestions? Can I dispute a second time? Should I check with the county first to see what status they have?

Hi everybody,
I'm filing married joint w/ my wife (first time doing this) on a 1040A. Anyway, for standard deductions of 10,300 do I subtract that from my salary, then subtract it from her salary, or do I add both our salaries and subtract 10,300 only once? Same question with exemptions (6,600 once or twice?)
Thanks,
Scott

I was told today that i will start at the bottom and they only recognize the experience Of Paramedics that have worked and put the time in at their company. After adding up the offered pay it does not add up to 50k it is 44K. What should i do ? What should i tell them?

My wife and I are separted. I live in an apartment.
She continues to live in the house we purchase together. She wants a divorce and to move out of the house and buy her own home. How can I get her name taken off of the mortgage? How do I get the house in my name only?
I want to keep the house and move back into it when she moves out. I would rather not put it up for sale and start over. Is there anything I can do to keep the house?
