A few years ago i allowed my ex-husband (we were only seperated at the time) to claim me on his taxes. He did and got approximately $7000 back. Two years later, we found out that some income wasn't reported and he filed for spousal relief. So... now I owe the IRS about $6000 and he gets off scott free. He made $95000 that year - I made $11,500. Is there anything I can do now???

It appears that your ex-husband filed as married filing jointly and entered all of his income and forgot to include your income, by mistake or otherwise.
Two years later, you found that your income was not included so your ex-husband filed for spousal relief.
Now you owe IRS. You will have to pay the IRS.
Then you can claim some amount from your ex-husband.

File for spousal relief yourself. If your husband underreported his own income without your knowledge, the IRS may determine that you are not responsible for the tax.

However, it sounds like your income wasn't reported at all. In which case, you owe.

You could leave the country, check with irs.gov,, ask some tax people like irs.com or get a tax lawyer. In the end if you still owe some, it might be worth setting up a payment schedule so you don't get fines and when you retire you'll get twice that back every year. They are using your highest lifetime salary, for me anyway, to gauge benefits. Who knows what they'll do in the future.

$6,000 tax due on income of $11,500 is a bit over the top, even with penalties and interest added. There is more here that you aren't telling us. Do you know the rest of the story?
