My mother in laws dog bit my ten month old son on the ear and arm sunday, and my father in law is turning it in on his home owners insurance (the dog is covered) and trying to get pain and suffering money. I was just wondering if they would get anything out of it.

Someone sent my wife a $3500 check from south africa with a letter stating I won a $900,000 drawing. They said the 3500 is to cover the taxes. They want me to cash the check and they will make arrangements to give me the money. Is there any way this can be a scam? Would I be liable for this? How would they make money off of me cashing this?

My sister in law woke up in the middle of the night to a strange man trying to kiss her. He climbed up her balcony, broke into her apt, and walked into her bedroom where she was sleeping.

Also the night before, she almost fell through her balcony. One of her legs went through the floor. They did fix it within a reasonable amount of time.

She's a single mother of two and feels that she can no longer live in these apts but cannot afford the $500+ reletting fee.

We live in Texas. Is there anyway to get out of the lease?

I have a couple of computers sitting in storage that I don't use, and I don't honestly know if they work(one of them doesn't for sure, the other one, I just don't remember). I want to get rid of these computers, and I know there are places where I can donate these computers to be put back together and refurbished for schools and other charitable organizations.

I was curious how this applies to the concept of a "tax writeoff", and what benefit that has for me? I don't know anything about this, but it sounds like it might save me some money. If not, oh well, but I would like to know a little bit more about it, since I'm sure this won't be the last time I end up donating something I don't use to a charity or other organization.

Thanks in advance!

We live in MI, and have been contemplating a move to another state (which one is unknown at this time). I'm wondering if moving to another state with a better economy is a better idea than to continue to loof for jobs here.

Every year I normally get back about 4 to 6K a year from fed and state combined. I'd like to bring home more money thru my weekly pay checks and not have to pay taxes at the end of the year. And if possible still get a small tax return?
Is there a calculator or some sort of chart that can help me?
I am like most people and use my tax money as a savings..I know this is not a good thing but I suck at saving money. When I say this to some people they say "why are you letting uncle sam collect interest off of your money"....so now I have decided to listen to my wise friends but I need help.

I have an interview tomorrow at 4pm at Spencers Gifts in the Plaza Bonita mall and I needed some pointers on what to expect the interviewer to ask. This job interview is different than any other job I've applied for. Has anyone worked for Spencer Gifts and remember what the interview was like? I'd like to be prepared because I REALLY want the job!

I get paid twice a month and I bring home about 900$ every two weeks and it seems that after I pay all my bills I only have 200$ to spend for things like groceries and gas and it seems as soon as I get paid it is pretty much all gone by the next paycheck, I was thinking of maybe getting a part time job but if there is another way around I would like to know?

I need help figuring this out!

I want to start saving some money because my husband and I are wanting to start a family in the next couple of years.
I want to open up an account that lets me save money, but since I do not make tons of money I need to be able to get my money if I NEED it! I am not planning on taking money out of the account all of the time......but when I do start my family I want to use the money for all of the baby needs, and so on.
So, I need an account where I can save my money, but I also need to have a access to it if I need it!!! I DO NOT want one of those accounts that lets you only take out 1000 per time..for example!

My husband is losing his job. It pays decent. His only offer is a job in my hometown out of state. I have a part tiem job where we live now. We have a 300,000 dollar house we would have to sell and the company out of state will not do a relocation package. With his job out of state it would be a small paycut, but I wouldn't have a job right away. We wouldn't want to lose our house.

The only other suggestion we have is to stay here till he loses his job within the next 4 months, and hope another position come open, or move with the company that offers a relocation package. But then we could end up in who knows where.

We would rather stay here or where I am from. Due to family.

my husband and I had previously had homes with x partners which they kept the house and we kept nothing but now find there is no help for ppl like us who re-marry and wish to get back into the market, why is it all about the first home buyer, when ppl in our situation have nothing finding it hard bring up children and we get no help to purchase a house of our own because our first marriage failed, and the house were brought in the 80s, the goverment should offer insentives for 2nd mortgages in similar situations so we have a chance to purchase our dream home too. We are in the same situtatio as our eldest children who are first home buyers they have no deposit but can get the $7000 grant or the equity share mortgage why dont the goverment offer this scheme to ppl like us who find it finacially hard because of our past situations this would help millions of ppl the same and would free up rental properties for others. The goverment needs to help everyone not just a few.

I have an interview with Cintas this week for a route sales specailist. The job, from what I understand is picking up and delivering uniforms and upselling other related products. The hiring manager said to dres to impress. I should have asked him to be more specific, but i did not. Do you think a tie and dress pants are too much? I am planning on wearing khakis and nice shirt.

I do not and will not work over 40 hrs because I'm only paid for 40 hrs. On the contrary, my hubby works about 60hrs a week while he is on salary for 40. Would you do it? I hate it because it takes away from time with the kids and family in general. Any thoughts? Would you do it?

Hello, and thank you for checking out my question.

I will be buying a house soon and would like to hear any helpful advice you may have to offer. Your answer can relate to any aspect of purchasing a home (i.e. financing, inspections, etc.)
