I owe capital one a debt. I will pay them off when I get the money, but at this moment I do not have it. I will not be able to show up in court because I am in another city. I already know they will freeze my bank account. Would it be better just to close out my bank account before they get to it? I do not have anything else in my name. Can I negotiate a payment plan with them before the court date, or is it too late? If it is what will happen after the default judgement is passed against me? Can they go into or even freeze my husbands account if it is not a joint account? And last but not least can they garnish his wages? Please only serious answers and not smart alec's thank you.

Hello, my Great Aunt is currently in a nursing home. She is 88 and has dementia and really has no clue who anyone is anymore. The social worker would like us to complete a financial and medical power of attorney for her. I know this should be done since there is no one to handle her affairs. She really doesn't have much of anything but I am sure this is still good to have. We do not have the money to involve a lawyer and the nursing home said you can print the power of attorney off line and they have a notary available there. We did this and took them into her.. she is no longer able to write so she signed with an X and the notary in the room noterized this.. is this now legal???

I buy, fix up and sell houses. I also have a pretty high-paying job, which puts me in a high tax bracket. Typically I would have to pay my high income tax on the profit from selling a house or I can wait one year and just pay capital gain on the profit. How can I minimize my taxes on the profit when selling a fixed-up house within one year of its purchase?

My 16 y/o son wanted a better job and so took an online CNA course from this school. He completed the course which costs
$676 which HE paid for himself. He did this so he could work this summer WHILE taking it. He was sent a certificate of completion but no certificate number for the state registry even though it said they were accredited. He did this all on his own to show us he could do it. We are unable to reach them by phone and they do not return emails. If anyone knows what options I have please tell me. I will NOT rest until something is DONE!!!! There is one payment left and we sent an email saying this will be held until they contact us. I will be contacting the BBB and whoever else I can to put a STOP to this! If you know anything about this PLEASE tell me! Thank you!

Now that the Feds have left the interest rate at 5.25%, I would like to see it go down at least to 4.50%. What was the lowest interest rate ever in mortgage rates?

My husband works for a Wisconsin based company so his salary won't change at all. I am an at home mom so the low salary rates there won't affect us. We live in Maine now where the daily cost of living gets higher by the day and the are about to raise taxes again! Bahh! Johnstown is tremendously cheaper than central Maine and we are already use to harsh winters. I guess My questions would be as fallows......
How are the school systems?
Is there artist relocation program really working? (It seems like a town w/ great potential in it future. That is what I want most of all)
Is it really the close community it claims to be?
And just for a silly comparison how much does it cost for a gallon of milk?

I appreciate any info ya'll can offer!!!!

I rent an appartment owed by a man not a leasing company. My lease ends on Sept. 23 of this year.

The owner told me today that he will be selling in October and that I will not be able to renew my lease and that I'll have to move.

What are my rights as a renter as far as them giving me time to find a new place and move? I'm sure they can't just say "ok you gotta go NOW"

Legally how long do I have to find a place and move.

any other info or advice is appriciated. I will be speaking with the owner tonight and I would like to be prepared with some info. He is a reasonble and nice man.

My apartment has flooded three times since I moved in to it in March. Not to mention how many possible times it flooded before that. I think there is mold and I think I am allergic. I am having asthma like symptoms, and had to see a doctor about it the same week that we moved in. I have to use an inhaler every night.

Anyway, I am wondering if I should have an inspection done on the apartment and if I can break the lease or anything like that if there is mold and I am allergic to it. I also have a 15 months old and am 20 weeks pregnant. Can I break my lease? Anyone experience anything like this or know anything about breaking leases?

going to donate the items to Goodwill but I decided she needed them more. My husband got mad because we did not receive a "receipt" for the donated items for tax purposes. Can we still consider the items that I gave her as tax deductable donations even though I did not get a "receipt"? I was giving out of my own heart and someone that was in need and not thinking of tax purposes.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and

The Asian Development Bank
Bank for International Settlements etc.

for a research paper. I've accessed their respective websites/wikipedia entries, but I am looking for more internet sources on these institutions. Thanks to anyone who can help!

So, I lost my license and I need to pay off the fines and fees by tomorrow or else I will have a warrent issued for my arrest. Does anyone know how I can quickly come up with five hundred dollars in one day? I am talking about maybe a bad credit loan that doesn't need to have a checking or savings account, or maybe a payday loan place that doesn't ask for a checking account. If you can help me it will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

I owe 10 G's on a car I no longer have. And the crazy thing is now a creditor is calling although I've tried numerous plans to pay them here and there. But its like if I didn't have the money to pay that high car note, how will I have a lump some of $10,000. I really wish i hadn't bought a car so young, sheesh!
