I would like to wire transfer money from my bank account in Europe to my account in US. Do i have to pay additional taxes besides the wire transfer fee?

I'm thinking about filing Chapter 7 but do not know if im eligible. Here's my situation, I make 19k a year which is below the median; I have no property/assets or savings. I owe 23k on the car and 18k on 3 credit cards. If i sell the car I still owe 8k. I tried to negotiate with my car's creditor and that's the best rate they can do. The reason why I want to liquidate my debt is because I want to go back to school full-time. Save money and rebuild credit while in school. If i continue paying my debt ( 5 more years ) I will not have savings and an education. I don't mean to be a deadbeat on my debts but this is the best solution i can do in order to straighten my life, financially and responsibly. I don't want to do Chapter 13 for my credit card debts-- this will waste my time, money and get a ruined credit report.

I'll face the consequences: Attorney fees, bad record for 10 years, higher rates.. you name it.

I've reviewed different sites and they seem pretty good. I could get a credit card, but I prefer debit or prepaid credit cards. I really don't want one linked to my bank accounts. I'm thinking about a Visa prepaid. I want to know if anyone on here uses them and if I could use them in any store that accepts a credit card. ( They say it on the Visa site but I would like your opinion.) I like the idea of stuff being paid for and not having a bill at the end of the month. And the cards seem kind of cool too. Thanks.

I know that whatever profit there is on the sale would first go to the IRS toward the tax lien, but I am not sure how the tax lien will affect the sale. By the way, after selling the property the tax lien will not be totally paid off. All of the money from the sale will go toward the lien and it won't be enough to pay the entire debt. Does that effect the sale?Will it take longer to close the deal? does the IRS have to sign off on it? How does it affect the marketing of the property and does it affect the buyer in any way?

Hello,

I have a problem. I gave my uncle last year £5,000, on the understanding that I would get it back within one month, and he guranteed he would get the whole amount back. The money was from a inheritance me and my partner got, and my partner really did not want to give it. I assured her on the basis that I trusted that he would pay it all back within the time stated.

It has been over 1 year 1 month and to date I have not received the full amount back from him.

Within this period these things have transpired.

1) I have asked him for the money, and he said there was a issue with the solicitors and its taking time. On that basis I said I would wait and I he should inform me that it has been sorted.

2) In may of this year he said he got the money. I was happy and asked him to pay me the full amount of money. He said he would. I gave him my account details, cool.

pay decrease, same job, same hours, same employer, nothing has changed except my foreman told our department that all of our wages were being cut up to $6 per hour, his reason he said "I don't have to tell you." All the department ended up leaving with no one returning. Any answers on if this is a labor relation notification and some help?

I am a loan officer for a mortgage company refinancing one of my clients. He is stating his income as he is self-employed. One of the conditions required by the lender is a 4506-T tax form. I forwarded it to my client, but he is hesitant to submit this form in fears of being audited by the IRS? What is the likelyhood of this actually happening and what would need to happen for the IRS to take such drastic measures? Otherwise I'm not sure why this is a requirement from the lender...

I'm closing in a couple of days. How do I make sure that there aren't any leins on the property. We are closing at my lender's office. Can I ask the sellers realor to provide me with a closing statment a day before closing. I don't have a buyer's Realtor nor an attorney. Are there any other 'gotchyas' that I should lookout for ?

How is it that people on the West Coast can be charged a late fee, even though their payment is paid on the DUE DATE, just because the credit card companies on the East Coast want their payment before their lunch break?? This has to stop and is very, very unfair.
