I put a bid in on a home, and when we did the home inspection there were a tremendous amount of problems. I was notified that 5 days after he was notified of the problems they were all fixed! In the inspection 50% of the home was not visible due to all the furniture and boxes they had in each room. The homeowner is also a handy man and added a lot of upgrades himself. This does not sit right woth me because after purchasing this home I will be on a strict budget and have no money to put into the home if something goes wrong. I have made up my mind and want to back out and the closing is in 2 weeks . My realtor is telling me they can sue me. What can I do??

The garage has a sink and urnal in it. It looks like they are hooked up to the public sewer system. I had a home inspection and they did not see it was messed up and previous owners failed to mention this. I found out later that it drains into a big pit in the ground. I think this is illegal and one question on disclosure asks if anything is illegal on the property. I dont have a lot of money to higher a lawyer. But want to make them fix it. What should I do? Part of the reason I bought the house was to turn this space into my art studio. I need proper drainage for the sink. I got a plumbing estimate and its over 3,000 to fix. Does anyone have any advice? I live in PA.

I'm 16 & thinking about getting a job at pac sun. You need to be at least 16 to work there so I've got that down. I'm terrified of working the cash register, but someone told me that you need to be at least 18 to do so. Do I have nothing to worry about or is the 18 years old thing not true?

So I sublet an apartment for a month from someone. The ad for this apartment said "utilities included." She moved out, I moved in, things were peachy.

Yesterday, I found a post it on my bedroom door from another roommate that the gas bill was due. My understanding is that the girl who I sublet from should pay this, but I feel really awkward calling her up about it because we didn't really discuss utilities at all.

So, I geuss my question is, if you were in my position, judging by that ad, would you assume that I was supposed to contact her to pay this bill?

Want to buy house in NC before contingency contract expires. 1st house been on market since the begining. of April. If I buy the house in NC with own money what happens if I don't sell and foreclose on 1st house. If the bank gets what we owe on it, could we lose our house in NC? Would we lose that one too if we were making our payments on NC house? What could happen if anything to house in NC. I know our credit would be screwed up, but we would already have our other house in NC. Could anything happen to it? What are the foreclosure laws for MD?

I have some excessively large bills that are measured at 8" x 18". I received them from my grandmother's will when she passed away and all I know is that they have been passed through the family for generations.

I really would like to keep the bills because they have sentimental value. However, I have been living off of food stamps and every month find it hard to keep up with the rent. Is anyone willing to buy these bills from me. I have five 100 dollar bills and I believe they are dated back to the 17th century. My grandmother told me many stories about these coveted bills as a child, but I must sell them because I can't keep living like this.

Going Back on your word
Two months ago your company took over a competitor who had a few months earlier re-equipped its factory with up-to-date machienry. at the time of the takeover you gave assurances to the workforce taht there would be no job losses. Since the takeover you have tried unsuccessfully to raise finace for similar new machines in you original factory where you hava a militant trade union. The easiest solution to the problem is to lay off the workforce in the recently acquired factory and transfer the machines to your own factory.
