I'm in the mortgage business, and I'm curious how the general public feels about today's rates and ability to get a decent loan.

A few months ago i got fired from my job and i havent been able to make my monthly payments. Ive honestly been trying desperately to find a job.. but know one is hiring. Ive gone to interviews and gave 100% but still i cant get a job.

Now yesterday i received a phone call from a credit collection agency and they explained everything to me.
I am very scared now and I dont know what to do.

The women I spoke to said she was the Wells fargo representitive or manager (i cant remember)
and claimed wells fargo is the second largest bank in the u.s and they are very aggressive. She pretty much demanded i mail a post dated check and that the bank wasnt going to accept anymore of my promises to pay and then said flat out we dont trust you.
I told her their is no one who can borrow me $260 dollars for my credit card payments ( I owe almost 1k) but she insisted that i borrow it from my mother .. and then said hold on while i get your mother on the phone.

.. thats when i hung.
Borrowing the money from friends or family is not an option.
no one has that kind of money just sitting around.

I would really appreciate any helpful advice.

I know collectors like to sound threatening and intimidating towards you and demand large payments but what can they do if i dont make the payment?

they wanted $260 and honestly $ 20 is all i can afford to do right now.

how long until they take further action and what can they do?

I worry about things like this all day long, I cant eat, and i cant sleep. Im very stressed out as it is.

I asked a friend and her advice was to rip up the letters and hang up when they call.

if i did that
what would happen too me
:' (

For example, a bank name might be listed as "Banco Rural, SA". I have seen the letters used all over the place, but never figured out what they meant. Thanks!!

Looking for companies that will take our orders from our customers and create custom t-shirts etc. with our branding.

example: customer orders t-shirt with a specific photo, we take info and charge customer and then forward the info to company xyzprinting and they print for us and send out on behalf of us.

are there any good companies for this?

theirs this guy at work who's output of work is way less than others. I dont care but a coworker seems to let it bother him. He's approached the supervisor with it but the supervisors does nothing about it because its very hard to fill and keep someone. Also, he thinks that its playground stuff. however, it has a effect on moral. so, the coworker that it bothers taken it over the supervisors head. which is fine but manager is at different location and has a hand off approach. All he sees is the revenue from the customer and the job still gets done. it maybe not efficient but its effective. I have been there for years and ive seen people come and go but they self destruct on thier own. My question is should the coworker actually pursue this to the manager or should he try to overlook it until that person selfs destruct?

I'm going to Puerto Vallarta on Tuesday and staying there for a week. I've never traveled internationally so I was wondering if i should take cash, use a credit card or some travelers checks. I'm not sure as to what the international rate is for using my capital one credit card. Another option could be to use my ATM. Any suggestions?

This is complex. I am living in a shared house. There is one other tenant. Up to yesterday the landlord was living in the house, too. We recently found out that he is £16,000 in arrears on the mortgage and the bank is about to start repossession proceedings (if they haven't already). He has now abandoned the property. He moved out this morning. He has told us it is "every man for himself" and told us to open his mail when it arrives so we can tell when the bank will evict us. We do not expect to see the little b*st*rd again. What is our legal position?

At my work we are trying new ways to display our products. Right now we never use plan-o-grams, so everything is a mess. I wanted to know where I can get planograms already made. Any ideas?

Zillow seems to be offline whenever I've tried to use it lately. Does anyone know of a comparable website that will let you enter an exact address? I tried trulia.com but it doesn't work the same way as zillow. Thanks!

here's our situation: I have a home in NC, my wife has a home in fl. We got married this past year. We decided to sell the house in florida and move to the house in NC. the problem is: we owe 217,000 on the house in florida and the fmv is about 175,000. The value of the house dropped about 40,000 in less than a year! We have two mortgages on that home, the first loan is for 175,000 and then a 2nd loan for the remaining cost of the house, about 40,000. What are our options? Can the bank sell the house at any price they want and than we're stuck with paying taxes on the difference, and than also have to payoff the 2nd mortgage of 40,000?

New commercial construction site near my office, but I don't know what's being built there -- looks like something big. There are no signs at the site, and no one around here knows what's going in that location. Is there a site I can search that tells me about commercial properties and what's being constructed?

I am working at a contract position. The company headquarters is moving soon so I am training someone to do the work that I do.

She is very agressive and "macho"acting. She constantly tries to find mistakes in my work or work that I show her. She also wants to show that she is smarter than anyone else and can learn quicker and make the process better.

How should I deal with her? Other contractors also feel the same way.

She is the kind of person that uses you when she needs you and otherwise does not talk to you. They say Hi to her in the hallway and she does not respond.

I don't want to say anything to my boss. Its best just to grin and bear it.

Does anyone have any other tips? I think if let her be, she will dig her own grave or make her own strong position. I am just her to do my job which if it includes training her, that's what I have to do. I am at least earning money for it.

Ok, I know there are a lot of scam artists out there, but there was two that contacted me on data entry work @ home. A small fee is required like $5.00. Now, when I really looked into it, it was that you post ads (typist, etc) anywhere you want, the people pay you a small fee, then you send them training materials which is basically telling you to do the same exact thing and it is just like a merry go round. They say it is legal under a section of the postal code something like 17.
You are not actually doing any type of work, just repeating the process over and over again.
Anyone know if this is really legal? I wouldn't know the first place to look for postal codes or the legal end of it.
