I recently moved to the US from Canada and have been wondering about these two types of plans. Originally I did not intend to stay in the US for more than a year and decided to go with my employers Executive Differred Compensation plan (they match contributions at 50%) since I qualified for it with my position. Things have worked out differently and now I will be in the US much longer than I had planned. Should I start a 401(k) plan now or stick to the Exec one I started with?

my friend is rooming with me so i would need a 2 bedroom. But some are expensive and others that have more rooms are cheaper.

Im not sure if I need more than 2 rooms but it would be good to have for guests.

I have a partner her name is Marlene, my name is Vanessa
We specialize in social events. Wedding, Birthday Parties, Sweet 16, Banquets, Anniversaries, Book Signings, Grand Openings. etc.

We have thought of using our last names and then adding for instance, A & H Event Managment Group and a lot of other options, however, we wanted to have a name that represented our creative flair and a name that would be remembered.

Thanks for your ideas!

My elderly neighbor purchased an appliance 2 years ago and could not complete payments due to unforeseen circumstances, and has not had the money to settle with collections. The debt is less than $3000. He received a notice in the mail today that he needs to pick up a civil warrant from the sheriff's office. He knows that he will be served with a judgment because he owes the money, he simply did not have it, however now that we're aware of the situation my husband and I are willing to help him take care of this debt.

Since a warrant has been issued, is there any way to pay this debt before a judgment is placed? He is about to need to mortgage his house because of some other problems, and is concerned that a judgment on his credit will keep him from doing this.

Is it a good thing or bad thing when a will or estate "goes into probate"?

I want to stay in Phoenix, Arizona.

I graduated from the University of Arizona in December 2006. I have online accounts with Jobing, CareerBuilder, Monster, CollegeGrad, and Jobs. I have mailed my resumes, called people, and I have attended four job fairs.

I was initially looking for a job in design / marketing, as this applied to my degree. But I have expanded my search to any entry-level salary position.

I have nearly five years experience working in managerial accounting as a student employee. What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to make money this summer so if you have any advise or where I can work around in this area(Hyattsville, Maryland), please email me or reply to this asap. If you have a smart mouth and just wanna be funny, keep your comments to yourself, cause if you wanna bring the drama imma bring it back, so lets bring it. Its not really worth getting cussed out for. Lets leave it on that note, Thanks, Tia

There are obvious no-no's like no flip flops or mini skirts, but where do you draw the line for some of the more controvercial issues, like pantyhose, sleeveless tops, tight pants on men or women, etc.....?

Please provide examples of what you find appropriate and not. Do you disagree with any of the standards?

My mother is elderly and is confined to a wheelchair, not in the best of health. I have been staying with her for the past 3 years, caring for her and handling her affairs. She has a safe deposit box and has given me the box # and key, asking me to bring her the items in the box. Will I be able to access or is mother the only one allowed access??

My husband and I like this house that was built in 1965. I want to have a lead paint test conducted while my husband says we shouldn't bother because 1) they repainted everything already and 2) it has all brand new windows. So my husband thinks it would be pointless. I'm still concerned.
Why do you think? Thanks!
