There are obvious no-no's like no flip flops or mini skirts, but where do you draw the line for some of the more controvercial issues, like pantyhose, sleeveless tops, tight pants on men or women, etc.....?

Please provide examples of what you find appropriate and not. Do you disagree with any of the standards?

I find it to be appropriate for women to wear slacks, nice skirts and nice blouses or shirts.

I find inappropriate for women to wear low cut tops, mini skirts, shorts, tight pants or bermuda shorts.

Summer is the time when you really have to be careful. People were beach attire to the office like short dresses and it just looks terrible.

In my office, the skank look is highly discouraged. They get real suspicious of the bleached blond women with the deep tan.

No short shorts. No flip flops. No tight pants. Knee length skirt.

The line is really blurred in Phoenix, AZ. I am amazed but you will see people wearing flip flops here. I completely disagree. I think if you dress with care and look professional, you have more confidence during the day. It also shows you care about your job and your ability to perform it.

If you wouldn't wear it to church, don't wear it to the office
