See line 5 of Schedule A. All the IRS publications are very unclear. They say it expired but that there was legislation to keep it going. I cannot confirm it has been or hasn't. Please help!

My new business is conducting a large marketing mail out through a local printer. The printer has sent postcards to former clients of mine that I had when I worked for someone else, an industry related mailing list was used by them. What if one of my former clients decides to call me and change firms? How do I advise them? Do I take the client on? Do I politely say it would be a conflict of interest to have them switch firms? Would there be a legal problem as a result of taking them on? For years I've had my hair and nail techs call me and tell me they've switched to a new salon and there were no problems as a result. My business is a services firm. Thank you

I am an adminstrative assistant who recently got my first cubicle. My small desk is facing the hallway and my desk attachment is to the left against the wall. My filing cabinet and shelf case are behind me. I have a wall shelf right in front of me and to my left. Besides my computer, phone, file organizer what else can I put on my desk to get organized and efficient? I have important dates and a calendar on my front wall. My desk is a little cluttered because I keep too many personal and unnecessary items.

Hi,

I'm really considering seeing a psychatist again. I'm insured by Cigna via the Healthy New York program. Would I be able to pick one from a plan and only be responsible for the co-pay? Or would I have to pay more than that? Thanks for any responses.

We have just switched from having a hostess to now holding our own bank. The boss says it will be easier. He's been trying to get out of the business, I think.

He's been telling everyone that he's short money, there are too many ones in the drawer, etc, etc.

Does this make any sense to anyone? It doesn't to me.
Any opinions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Here is my situation: I just graduated from college and I am taking a break from school. I am working as a secretary. In a nutshell, the business is dying, it's been slow and getting slower so I am very bored at work. I worked six days at first but couldn't take it and so now I work four days. My boss just asked me if I want to go back to full time. I don't! I don't have anything to do for those days I am there, now to sit there another two days....suicide. And my boss does not like to see that I have nothing to do. Basically he wants me to come back so that he has someone to do things for him like pick this up, call that, find this, put away that, even clean up his office. In one word, a dead end job. I am going back to school this August and I do not plan on keeping this job after that. I do have another thing to do, I go to work with my mom (because she helps me out financially) and it pays more money, even for those two days. Should I feel any guilt? What should I say to him?
