I'm saving up for a house down payment and would like to know that my money is in the best place it can be for the time being. I do not like the idea of a CD because I don't want to be restricted in when I can withdraw this money, as it may be needed at short notice.

What is the highest-yielding savings account (or alternative, non-fishy investment method) that you are aware of and can suggest? I am currently with EmigrantDirect, at 5.05% APY, and haven't really been able to find anything higher that isn't a CD or is somehow not skeevy.

And are you now? If so, was it your own dream or was it forced upon you? I wanted to be an acctress, doctor and police officer but now I am studying for accounting, and that is where I will end up. But I love it!

I'm in my early 30s and thinking of a career change to get into advertising field. Do you think I'm too old/ too late to do it? I don't mind starting low and taking a pay cut to fulfill my dreams but what will potential employers think? Lastly, what can I do to enter advertising, specifically copywriting.

So we just bought our house a year ago and I never realized you could have your property taxes paid thru your mortgage (my realtor never informed me of this or our lender) and so now along with a big house payment (our house cost $530,000) and plus we have to pay these huge property taxes twice a year, it's killing me!! So should we or can we refinance to include that cost? Also, can you put a car payment into a refinance (my friend said they knew of someone that did that). Thanks in advance!!

Right...First of, I have had my labtop insured by this insurance company, Endsleigh Insurance Services. My labtop was damaged on the day I had an insurance with them and so I called them to ask for a claim. But for some reason, I wasn't able to tell them the correct date the accident happens (which I've accidentally dropped it). Therefore they were not able to insured me because they thought I was 'lying'.

Anyway, I've had my labtop repaired; but then this insurance company called me today to asked about the claim which I made. They asked me questions like where did I get it repaired and ask me to save the receipt. I am quite scared actually, will they be able to sue me or get cops to arrest me or something?

This may seem like a silly question, but I was wondering if anything would happen with the deficit and the national debt.

He asked questions about details and wanted photos so could be serious buyer. We exchanged several emails over a few days. But I'm nervous due to the international nature because of all the frauds. He said he'd pay me this month, but not ship until next. I don't know how T/T's work and if they are safe for me. Am I being naive to even consider it?
