today i got a phone call from Con Edison, saying that they could save me a money on my electric bill. Now i went along with it, giving them the information(name, account number...etc) Finally the transaction was complete. Now im reading on sites about the IDT energy scams...i think i might have been scammed.

Could it have been the IDT calling me. And about teh account number, the "con edison" rep gave it to me first , and only made me repeat it. Its not like she didnt know it. Also, there was a con Edison recording voice that was confriming what i did.

Please help!!! i want to know if i had been scammed, or is this a legit money saving thing.

PS-they called around 6pm

I am a US citizen. I am moving to India in next 6 - 8 months. I am 62 years old. My wife and I want to settle in India. Can I withdraw money from my 401K (which I have in US) in India whenever I want and the amount I want. Any help?

Over the last few days I have been posting about a stock PBLS.
I have been called a pumper, told I was trying to unload shares to get my money back and If its at a penny its a scam and so on and so forth..

My question is did anybody take an in depth look at what this companies businesses are doing ?

I say if someone spends a few hours on PBLS
they will not find a more undervalued stock....period.!

Put Deep research and DD into PBLS @ .012 has more than "Most" AMEX
stocks. Why is it @ a penny because they have not filed in 8 years.
In the last shareholders update they said they would file 1st Q 2007.

Read it all and verify it all: 206 million Revs 21 million profits
No debt 21 Million\815 mil OS = .0257 EPS for 2006

I recently sold a laptop on ebay and sent it via usps insured mail. Buyer got it and it was damaged. Instead of going through usps insurance, they are demanding I pay them for repairs! If I want to go through usps, they wand a full refund and then they'll send me the laptop to get my money back. Also, if I do not pay the 50 dollars repair in the next day they are going to file a claim with their credit card and paypal against me. I am new to ebay. I am wondering what to do, I figured it is usps problem for damaging it, not me! And the buyer is just refusing to work any other way than direct money from me to repair it, claiming usps will take the the laptop for months until a refund is done and that only I can get the refund and only i can take in the item. Of course I found out the buyer can take it in too. What should I do?

I won a judgement for $3600.00 last month, I sent a copy of the judgement by registered mail and a letter giving him 30 days to pay or at least make some kind of arrangement for payment. I have heard nothing, and now I am not sure what my next step should be. Should I call him directly or should I call a lawyer. I will not be able to garnish his bank account because it is a joint account with his wife, and no wages, as he is "retired".Also, I was wondering if anyone knows what the interest rate would be in BC, Canada. Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

I've been the head of the household this year. I have a 4 year old daughter and am married to a 33 year old man who only worked about 3-4 months total out of the year and got approved for social security supplemental income late 2006. I am planning on leaving him pretty soon and was wondering when I file head of household and claim our daughter as a dependent, can I also put him down as a dependent since I had to support him the majority of the year and can I put him down as a disabled dependent since he was approved for SSI in 2006? Or what would be the best way to file?

I am a renter in a house that is for sale. The realtor called me and stated that a client who previously looked at the house would like to see the house again but has requested that I not be present while they look at the house. First she asked me to stand on the front porch. I said it was not acceptable because I live near Cleveland and it is winter here. I countered by saying that I could go upstairs while they look at the first floor and that if they wish to look upstairs again I would come downstairs while they look at the 2nd floor. She said that they would not agree to it. Then asked if I could leave and go somewhere or sit in my car!

This sounds outrageous to me. What do you think? Please if you are a realtor say so in your reply.

I have a 5g prepayment penalty, need out of it. Real estate agents won't sell because of lack of commission and equity. I can't seem to find an agent who will sell because of no equity. Can I just put it in the paper, or internet, who would handle paperwork, etc..? Any info would help thanks!
