My husband and I are looking for our first house. We'd like to buy one that is less than we were approved for and put about $20k into remodeling it before we move in. Is there a way to roll the cost of the renovations into your mortgage? What's the best way to start the process? What should we look for? How long before we move in should the remodeling start? I want to be right because my husband thinks I am way off by thinking that we can do this. Help!

Like will they ever loan you over the amount that you are actually received and then have to owe them that extra money? Or say they give you a loan amount that is less than what you actually should get. What will happen then?

Joe Smith paid $500.00 to attend a fund raiser for a qualified charity 100 miles from home. He purchased a painting at a silent auction for $1000.00. The fair market value of the painting was $250.00 and the dinner was $50.00. While there he met the governor and contributed $500.00 to the governor’s re-election campaign. How much can Joe claim as a charitable contribution deduction? Why?

I just paid off all my bills in collections (THEY WERE ONLY MEDICAL). I just got promoted. And I really want to refinance my home and get a cash-out to pay off some debts for myself and my husband. My credit score dropped to 560 due to some unexpected hardships in the last 6 months. Does anyone know of a good bank or place to start that will work with my credit score? I am in WA State.

I have a credit score of 562, and I am trying to get my credit score up. Besides the things I have no control over.. I have 7 entries from Security Finance, when I was struggling for spendable income. It's all good, but can 7 entries be detrimental to my credit or should I call them and ask them to cut down the number of entries?

I have about $5K i would like to invest. I am young in that i can take risk for a higher return. I would like to keep this money in for roughly a year. In that time i would like to maximize its return with the highest possible roi percent. What would be the best investment field i could take to achieve this...I have been thinkng ETFs or Mutual Funds (aggressive growth for either type) or maybe just play it safe somewhat and go with a mixed bag of some index with some growth in the portfolio...Any ideas?

I have just received my contract for a new job. I am not very knowledgable about contracts, but it seems very unfair with regards to notice period. As far as I can work out, they can fire me at any time without reason, but I have to give them one months notice. I don't want to sign this contract because it seems unfair. Please have a look at the relevant section of the contract below. The company I am working for is the 'Client' and I am the 'Service Provider'.
________________
"3.3 Client Notice Period: The Client may terminate at any time without cause by immediate notice. 3.4 Service Provider Notice Period: One Month."
