You could argue that economics is a tool to keep high school history teachers in power.

Economics is actually a science that makes capitalism work. Chances are, an examination of distribution of wealth would reveal that money is concentrated in the hands of those inside the corporate world. If you are small business, or if you are a worker in the economic sense, then it is likely that you are dwarfed by all corporate things. Should this bother you? Well, why haven't you gone further up the corporate ladder? What is keeping you from this goal? Inferior education? People skills? Be content with a more modest life or take the plunge and get into the game and pursue the corporate mantra.

Absolutely! You have hit the nail right on the head!

Hasn't worked. Unless they meant the mugger with his knife closer to our necks! And it's the major reason for marriages splitting, according to the minister's and pastor's. Who at least cared enough about the American family enough to document the situation.

But no, capitalism may not be getting it in the back by the corporations, cause they may be part of capitalism, but that is something to look at.

But from socialism. Why would so many people buy their food when they can have it prepared and served warm for you on you're lunch hour by you're neighborhood soup kitchen.

Many groceries that are located next to food pantries and soup kitchens end up closing.

I saw one lady roll in with her husband in their Mercedes! And I am not kidding.

Of course we all do end up on unexpected hard times, sometimes.
