Here is what I would recommend.

1. Take courses in writing. Most of the practice of law is done with the written word. The better you are at making clear, concise points in writing, the easier you will find law to be.

2. Take a logic course. Usually, these are offered in conjunction with math or philosophy. These courses will help you look at different problems objectively, and not make costly assumptions when you are reviewing a fact patter.

3. Take a speech class. Public speaking is something that most people fear, and for your first two years in law school, the professors will address you in the Socratic style (which means they are going to call on you out of the blue). If you are not afraid to talk in front of others, you'll be able to concentrate on working through to a conclusion in your discussions.

4. Call your local courthouse, and ask about opportunities to shadow the prosecutors, public defenders and judges. You can probably get credit for it, and if you want to be a lawyer you'll see a small slice of what they do. If you are thinking you want to be involved in business law, find a firm that will allow you to do the same thing.

Law is a difficult but rewarding career choice, and it is one of those that you'll always be able to rely on, whether you practice or not.

Good Luck!

Keep a high grade point level and join Junior Achievers and do lots of volunteer work. You will compete with other students and you will need to show that you had taken on tasks that will put you in a pick above the other applicants with high grades.

Take all the social studies classes you can in high school, and in college major in pre-law, political science, or history. Read whatever you can about the profession and be ready to study for the LSAT to get into a good law school.

focus on school, because you are gonna need a good gpa to get into a good law school, and second, go to the local law firms and ask if there is any way you can be a aprentice, any experience is always good, they probobly wont let you at 15, but maybe at 16, i would try though. and then of course go to law school when you graduate
