I live in California and just recently signed a 3 month lease with my apartment complex. It ends March 30 and was wondering if anyone knew the earliest date one can renew their rental lease? Is there some timeline with the california landlord/tenant law? Thanks!

I love computers but they are outsourcing a lot of jobs out of the country. Yet the healthcare field is booming. Is there a career that combines these 2 fields that would be resistant to outsourcing?

Let's face it! There are a lot of dishonest people out there. You can send out a perfectly good item, and have it returned to you all broken up, with the buyer complaining that it didn't work.
You can also have someone claim they never even got the item, or that it wasn't as described, then try to get their money back. You know you're honest, but what about them? How can you guarantee you won't get cheated? No web links, please--just good answers.

As I wait for my annaul evaluation I am toying with the idea oftelling my boss she is not performing her job effectively. All year long I receive only positive feedback, but when it comes time for a raise she finds issues.

The problem I face is how to discuss with her my concerns. Oh, another thing, I am 25 years younger than her. I do value her knowledge, but I know I could do a more effective job. I have also noticed that she tends to take credit for tasks I complete. I figured if I went above and beyond what was expected I would be adequately compensated. This is also very difficult because she is a great person and has many years of banking experience.

Thanks

Considering how eBay has become flooded with competition. I don't hear too much from quiet ol' Amazon. Could something be brewing up over there?

I'm thinking of starting an Internet aucion site business and am seriously considering Amazon over eBay. What do you think?

What would you do?
I've worked at my retail job for almost 7 yrs (I'm a manager now, 1 yr, full-time) and I feel it's time to move on due to scheduling ( I work graveyard shift) new management ( they want to change things) and just tired of being tired -lol- I randomly applied for a job( probally part-time) blocks from my home and thay callled for an interview, if hired should I leave my other job or take 2 jobs ( extra money would be good, but not in any finacial hardship)? I hate to leave my friends and current wages, it's so hard to move on. What would you do? Or have you been in a similar situation?

My fiance's mom is not all there in her head. Our Daughter was born in April 2006. She called last night wanting to know if she could claim our daughter on her taxes. There is noway we would ever let her do that...she has only seen her MAYBE 5 times. I am just worried that she will do it without our permission before we file. She has her social security number from when she got life insurance on her. What will happen if she claims her without our permission??

I'm looking for another website similar to realtor.com where you can search for real estate listings by location and narrow the home search by number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. Realtor.com is a great website but I'm looking for more listings that include pictures of the properties.

I have a 488,000 options arms loan that has 2 years left before I refi without pre-payment penalty. As of now the pre-payment penalty is 15,000. Got a quote from my loan agent at 6.125% for a 30-year fixed, no pionts and no cost. Estimate out of pocket $3500. I plan to roll the 15,0000 into the refi. Should I bite the bullet and just refi. I estimate that I can save $600 from what I pay right now and be able to recoupe the amount in 31 months. I plan to stay in the house for another 5-7 years. Rates look low right now. what should I do? Also, anything other questions I should raise with my loan agent. Got into bad option arm loan and now I am hesitant and want to get everything defined before I sign.

Finances are in effect too because I am getting married in 5 months and money is getting tight.

In 2004, my husband and I didn't file one W2, and his unemployment that he was on for a few months. Dont ask why, I dont know. Anyway, we got a letter from the IRS stating we owed 1800.00. I went to Jackson Hewitt today (that's who did our taxes back in 2004) and had them look over everything. They put everything in, and it came out that we were owed an additional 850.00.

Now my question is, are we actually going to get this money back, or does this get deducted from the supposed 1800.00 we owe the IRS?

I am going to the local federal office tomorrow to find out for sure, but I would like to know now, if anyone has any ideas.

Currently in a Supervisory role it pays well, and isn't too taxing, but I hate it. Im only 23 and have been in my current job for just over a year. I'm more of a hands on type of guy. Maintenance / service engineer is where all my skills are.
