How soon can I renew my lease before it ends?

I live in California and just recently signed a 3 month lease with my apartment complex. It ends March 30 and was wondering if anyone knew the earliest date one can renew their rental lease? Is there some timeline with the california landlord/tenant law? Thanks!

...As soon as your landlord accepts your request for renewal.

If the landlord is cool with you signing a new lease then you can sign a new lease whenever, it will just be dated after the current one is up. I signed mine (im in IL) a month before it was up.
