I am a relatively new manager and I have a couple of employees who are impossible. I am starting to lose sleep because the situation is bothering me so bad. They talk about me behind my back - even at Wal Mart - and this is a small town, they are disruptive at work, they are very rude to me, they keep rumors stirred up all the time, they keep their co-workers upset. I think I should fire them and create a new team who will work for me and WITH me. Any ideas?

The job mandated everyone set 3 month goals and objectives. I completed the request, but did not meet the goal because of injury on the job requiring sugery and recovery time. Within 5 days after returning to work I was terminated for not meeting my goals.

I may be a bit late in the process (already in college) but I'm not sure what I want to do, and I have been to physio many times for 3 knee injuries and enjoyed the enviroment quite a bit. I would like to know about the educational requirements (is it difficult to become certified?), example of job hours, money, and employment (is it fairly self-employed?) can I controll my days and hours... Any advice and direction would be much appreciated.

I'm American and have been living in West Midlands and now Shropshire for almost 2 years..........with frequent visits home.
I need a job badly......not only for the income but because I'm losing my grip here from boredom and just too much time on my hands. I've always worked service type jobs mostly in the hotel/resturant industry......with a few other trades up my sleeve....that really kinda don't account for much of anything. But the things I do know, don't really apply here. I'm fast counting money.......but not your money. I'm a good manager of people but......I guess this is where my question lies. If I was your manager , what would you think of my American way of speaking.....would it be a problem or.......well, any thoughts on it would be great?

If you win a house or something that you dont want to sell and you where responsible for all the taxes and everything, How would you be set up to pay that. Would you be put on payments or what. That would be like 240,000 in taxes. How do they expect you to pay that.

I've been at my current position for a year and a half. It's an extremely rewarding and professionally beneficial position to be in at this point in my career. However, I'm engaged and while my fiance would be willing, it's not possible for him to get a position in his specialized field where I live currently. Since I'm not happy where I live (my job is wonderful, the area, not so much) I have no issue quitting. How do I do this and when do I do this, meaning giving my notice. I personally don't want to keep my wedding plans a big secret. How can I avoid having responsibility taken away if they know I could be quitting in the next year or so?

I want to get married and not put my life on hold longer than necessary, despite being career-driven. My fiance and I have been together for 3 years and lived at least 2 or more hours apart since we first met. So it's understandable I don't want to delay moving on in my personal life longer than necessary.

My bosses (married couple) are yelling all the time. It is really unbearable. No one ever stayed more than six month with them. I just can't go there anymore... I am from Germany. In Germany we speek open about these things in an interview. I heard that it is different here in the states. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!

I rented a room in a house, and had no written contract or lease. Everything was just month to month. I paid a 200 dollar security deposit, and when I notified the landlord around Dec. 12th that December would be my last month, she refused to give my deposit back because I did not give 30 days notice. The lady did not live in the house, and she instructed me to take up all house issues with "Brian," her friend and the person who had lived in the house the longest, so that is who I told I was leaving at the end of December. She then says that I should have told her instead. Do I have any kind of a case in trying to get my deposit back. The room was left cleaner than what I found it, and I did not create any disturbances during my 4 month tenure. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a cashier now. And I do pretty well for a 17 year old. I make $6.75 an hour.
It's just not enough. My Mom is putting alot of pressure on me to pay for almost everything. She spent like over $16,000 on my car she got me last May, but I didn't think it was going to make us poor.
I actually feel really really guilty about the car. And I have sacrificed alot. I guess it's little things but I have given up alot. I didn't go school shopping this year because I felt really guilty. And I didn't get anything for my birthday.
I have some money saved up. And I really want to go shopping for school because I really really need to.
But my Mom says I have to buy a new television for a living room, help her pay taxes on the house and some land, and pay my own car insurance.
I need more money. I shouldn't feel this guilty. Please help. I really hate my job and I don't like working with people either. Please help!!
