I know stocks are a risky business and I probably didn't explain my question correctly, what I meant to ask was about having an extra income from stocks, of course I understand she will have to fail sometimes until she gets it right but her husband has a very steady job and they have security. Is it actually possible to make an extra income? or does she have to be certified to trade a couple of stocks a week?

Dh & I owned a home 2005 (home number 1), he lost his position through a company buyout that same year after 10 years of employment. Through the buy out money, with a 401 cusion, we opened a business, sold home number 1 and invested in home number 2 in 2005 because we needed business space. New business failed, then we were forced to sell home number 2 due to ability to pay our bills. Not profitting but making only what was invested in both homes. This occured in April of 06. We then bought a lesser valued home May of 06, remodeled it, have been restored financially and want to move back into a larger, nicer home. We have manged to keep our credit good and the banks have prequalified us to purchase another home. We will profit from this home but only about 50,000. However, knowing that we could get hit with Captial Gains is a scare. What do we risk selling this house and buying a more valuable home this year since we have sold 3 in the last 2? Does the unemployment situation help us?

I leased my home to the builder of the home, he sold the business to another guy. The guy sublet it to another person. The new tenant has paid my tenant the rents but I have not recieved anything. How do I evict them? Also the person who now owns the company is a Designated Broker. What other steps can I do to get my rent?

Ok, so I got this job as a dispatcher. I love the job itself, the pay is actually very decent and I like the majority of the people. Lately I've been coming home very stressed because of the other dispatchers I work with. They don't do their job (creating more for me) and they sit there and whine about it. I mean it has gotten to the point where I wanna quit. They are driving me crazy. I have tried to ignore them but it hasn't been working. Other than my co-workers this job is awesome. Should I quit my job over them?

I always have filed single, I have no kids and I usually claim one (myself) or zero. My friend lived with me for this past year for about eight to nine months. Can I claim her and her kids is this legeal? with a major change this I dont want to get audited. Please Help!

I have a small rental house and recently the furnace broke down. To fix it costs $5,300 as it has to be dug out from under the house. I will fix the heater but am still working on getting the money together. In the meantime I have brought the renters four space heaters, plus fire wood. Today after bringing them firewood, I got a phone call from them which was upsetting. They are angry that I didn't brought them a full cord of wood and that they are freezing their asses off. . I asked them if they are using the space heaters and they said, "Yes, but that it's expensive." I explained that running the gas furnace (if it were working) would be even more expensive since gas is out of sight these days. I also told them that I will keep bringing wood to them as they need it. So, anyway they yelled at me and have threatened to call the Landlord Tenant Hotline, plus move out.

I am curious about the stock market and I want to try it just to have fun, I have a steady income and I don't plan to play with a lot of my money, I still would like to know how to avoid becoming a day trader, I know you have to make 4 or 5 transactions a week to be considered one but I just don't want the extra work of taxes implications and such. Now, if I do make some money ( don't laugh) do I have to include it in my tax declaration and how?. Thanks.
