Talk to a real estate agent, they can access sold records in the mls, this is how they get comps when you are looking to sell your house.
You can also try realtor.com, put in your critera and see what the houses are going for, but this will only be active listings and not tell you what the houses are actually selling for.

Easy do ur home work, call realtors on homes u see 4 sale in the area, call on as many as u can find in ur location. Also get the newspaper ck what going house prices r. Get a free guide usually at stores or restaurants etc. with home listings ck all in the area within at least a 5 mile radious, this will give u the average market rate in ur area. Hope I have helped, HAPPY NEW YEAR! p.s. make sure u r not comparing apples to oranges. example if its a 3 bdrm 3 bath 2 car garage dont compare to a 1-1 with no garage. Also if there r newer homes in the area and older ones there will be a difference, so try to compare as close to what u own or r wanting to purchase as possible.

Our local daily newspaper print out all of the houses that were sold by zip codes every Saturday. Call your local newspaper and ask to speak to someone in the real estate section. I am sure that they can give you some help.

www.zillow.com gives you approximate estimates on home values and compares similar homes in the area.. very helpful site. and realtor.com shows homes listed in the MLS data base but wont include for sale by owners.
