you contradict yourself. Leaving a job with style is about leaving with your employers and your peers respect for you intact, that means giving them enough notice so they can make plans for replacing you or carrying on without you. You type a well written letter of resignation siting either personal issues or the fact that you want to gain experience in another line of work. Anything less than this is not only not cool, it will come back to haunt you when you have to list former employers for references. If your idea of "style" means beeking off or anything disrespectful, you are shooting your own self in the foot.

So you don't want to give two weeks notice. Then, you won't get good reference for you next job. But, if you must, walk into the manager's office and tell him/her TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT!, now go and collect your things and leave..
