This website http://www.bankrate.com/brm/movecalc.asp has some averages for things like utilities. For phone, if you have a cellphone, just use that and get a bigger plan, if necessary. If you HAVE to have a land line, a basic with no long distance will cost you about $20 a month. Internet will be $10 for the cheapest dial-up (will need phone line) to about $40-50 for DSL or cable. For groceries, count about $100 per week. Of course, if you eat nothing but Ramen, it'll be cheaper. If you're on this tight of a budget, buy a used car and PAY CASH! A car is not a smart thing to finance, as you are paying intrest on something that depreciates. Don't forget gas for your car! Unless you commute a long way, figure about $20 a week for gas for an economy car. You'll also need insurance. If this is in relation to how much of a house you can afford, your monthly income should be about three times your house payment.

That depends largely where you live. Here on Long Island my mortgage and taxes is about $3200 a month (that's with 20% down). Phone is about $50, Internet is $45, water is cheap about $60 every other month, car (notes are paid off) insurance for two older cars is $165 per motnh, electricity is about $75-115 per month, gas is expensive, about $800 2-3 times a year. Groceries varies a lot. I think we spend about $400 a month on food for two people.

Don't think anyone can answer that for you without more info. Phone/internet depends on where you live, car - do you own, lease, what are you payments, groceries - how much to do you eat, for just you or a family? Too many things to count in to come up with a number for you.

Hard to say. How many people live in the house? Of these people, are there any in diapers as this will add to your expenses? Where is the house located? What kind of car are you driving? What is the cost of car insurance? How many drivers need to be insured?
No average can be made without further information.
