I'm moving to an apartment in Washington state but the manager told me it is a small city and they don't have anything in town. So how am I supposed to get a ride to furniture stores (bestbuy, staples, etc) if I don't even have a car and can't afford to pay for the taxi ride cuz they charge like $240 round trip.

Would the manager give me a ride to the furniture store or would he look me with dirty eyes?

like i said im 17 and half years old, i will turn 18 in 6 months when i will go off to college. My question is what are the best steps for me to follow to try and create very good credit for myself, My dad and mom both have very high credit scores but thats over a period of 20 years what would be a good start for me? creating a buisness? credit cards? any ideas would be greatly appreciated, aswell as any "dont do's" ( BTW getting a cosigner on any credit cards etc will not be a problem as i have a credit card of my own now through my mothers name and ive been paying it ontime for the past year)

I bought my house a year ago and got into an option arm loan because we weren't sure we could afford the payments. Now, my fiance and I have gotten salary increases and we are paying interest plus principal. We paid $600,000 for our home and put 20% down with our parents' help. I am afraid that interest rates are going up again and that the payments are getting higher and higher. I am not sure I should refi because I have to pay a pre-payment penalty of 3 months of interest which comes out to 13,000. Should I bite the bullet and refi now at a 6% interest rate or should I wait another two years and then refi. We orginally planned to stay at this home for only 3-5 years but now I am thinking we are going to stay for 7-10 because of how the market is.

I graduated from high school over 5yrs. ago and so far I havn't done anything with my life career wise. Its not that easy for me anymore considering I now have a 2yr old boy. I was married but now I'm divorced and on my own with my son. Going to school is going to be difficult for me now, so I want to study something that will not take me too long. Most of the short careers that I see out there are medical related; unfortunately the medical field is just not for me. Before I was deciding between psychologist, school councelor, or social worker. Right now I know that those options are no longer options. I need something quick that pays somewhat good to start living o.k. Im tired of working these almost minimum wage jobs. what do you recomend me?

Should I do the sonography thing and then try the pharmacist or what? What if I get into the pharmacy and it's too much. Is there any other jobs typical to that. I know I don't want to be a some type of nurse, bathing people and stuff like that. please help me!!! I'm so confused and I kind of need to make up my mind because I'm at the point in college where it's time to choose your career and I'm still not sure.

I have really, really, really bad credit anything you can think of. I want to repair it but I noticed almost all of it will be cleared up from my credit report in 3yrs any ways. Should I continue and neglect the payments and wait the 3yrs or should I try to pay them. It's been about 4-5 yrs since I last paid my creditors. Some have told me to just wait because even if I did pay back all the creditors my credit report would still show that I was past due for so long. I should just hang and wait for the 3yrs and I'll be good to go.

I've been looking into starting my own audio engineering business. I have had credit problems in the past and I'll probably have a tough time getting a loan. My mentor even offered to sell me his equipment and some of his client contracts because he wants to retire. What alternatives are there to bank loans?

My boyfriend and I were watching tv the other day and a Trojan Condom commercial came on and he asked "why, WHY! Would Trojan actually choose the Trojans to be their mascots?!" It is kind of wierd if you really think about it. They made a horse, and hid inside it and killed all the Troy people....doesn't make sense.
Anybody know why they did it?

I am selling my apartment building I have owned for nearly 4 years. Are my options to buy a new property or can I use that money to improve my home. Or does that not offset the gain.
Also,
just checking... tax on capital gains is based on your tax bracket or do they have a set taxable percentage.
Thanks so much!
