I AM A POST GRADUATE STUDENT IN ABERDEEN STUDYING MANAGEMENT, BUT WOULD BE GRADUATING IN JULY 2007.
HOWEVER, I HAVE GOT SOME PEOPLE ON GROUND IN NIGERIA WHO ARE INTRESTED IN OPENING UP THE TOURISM INDUSTRY THERE, THEY HAVE A PROPOSAL AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR SERIOUS MINDED INDIVIDUALS WHO WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECTIVE.
I WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL IF I CAN BE LINKED WITH SOME PROMINENT ORGANISATION AT DOING THIS.
I AM READY TO SEND OUT THE PROPOSAL AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTATION THAT MIGHT BE REQUIRED FOR VETTING AND FURTHER DISSCUSIONS.

Serious minded you say???
What tourism needs is people that know what they are doing and not somebody asking on the net for info or investment or other proposal's.!!!
Considering all the scams that originate from Nigeria, rather keep your proposals and send them to your Minister of Tourism in Nigeria.!!!
I'm sure they can help you if everything is above board.!!!
On the 27 of December i saw on TV that people in your Country burnt again by siphoning petrol from the pipe-lines.!!!
Those things should be sorted out internally before Nigeria can be considered a country for people to go on holidays in the first place.!!! People want to feel secure and not threatened.!!!
Good Luck.!!!

Opium... I happen to come from a South East Asian country where many, many Nigerians have preyed on sympathetic and unsuspecting people exposed to the hundreds of scams going around. One popular scam is to "produce" USD from thin air. The list is large.
I must express my scepticism and warn all readers to be on the guard against giving out names and contact numbers of innocent people who may be duped into a massive scam all in the name of tourism in Nigeria.
I can see that the money raised will very likely be paid as upfront money for some corrupt official . Well wishers will most probably be "invited " to Nigeria with their cheque books and that's the end.

Be advised, be warned and be wise....please.

To what has been to date established on tourism, one notes that car hires set up by an individual have been slow to the point of coming to a halt.

One would suggest a safe haven to park your receipts, good financial controls and sound operating procedures; limited liability is likely to provide little comfort when operating there.

Goes without saying:
- Difficulties of obtaining professional, business and customer indemnity;
- Experience of management;
- Capital outlay;
- Working capital;
- Holding power;
- Potential slow turnovers.

Askers shall keep a watch on this post to provide further updates when possible. Would the Asker consider private and public tie ups from different countries of origin ?

Raise this question routinely over the next few weeks if serious in your endeavour.

(Goes without saying the questions are cycled out of circulation for which most people are not sufficiently computer literate to search for business ventures.)

ok as for the one person who entered a reply above, i've no explanation for them but......i also have no organisation either, but i'd be willing to help as a volunteer to help bring such to Nigeria as i'm sure it can be a wonderful place with given opportunities since wealth will bring (hopefully) fortune to their society and help the community there live a little better than before and help create a wonderful tourist place for travellers and holiday makers just like most countries. you can contact me on anastasiaxx@hotmail.com, pls state what it is your are contacting me for otherwise i might disregard it but it would be my pleasure to help out.

OK ive just read other reply's, i dont see why Nigeria can't be like any other place, i think this is what the guy is asking.......for help? Be open minded at least because the country (Nigeria)has potential.

With the number of business/financial scams coming from Nigeria - you'll be lucky if anyone touches this with a bargepole.

I cannot imagine why anyone in their right mind would want to go to Nigeria on a holiday. Lagos and Kano are probably two of the most disorganised cities in the world

You have more chance of being s**t on by a pterodactyl.

Try something easier. . like promoting Christianity in China, or opening an American Bank in Iraq.
