Before you assume anything, I am 23 with 1 year of college left. I take care of an elder parent so I only work part time, thus having limited funds. My degree is a BA in liberal arts so I will need to go to a Masters program for my specialty.

I have a question regarding my mortgage! About 5 years ago or so, we refinanced our home at a good rate. I try to pay a little extra principle when I can. Any way, how do you figure out how much longer it will take you to pay off your home? Each month, it is broken down what was paid towards principal, escrow, etc. So, then you are left with a balance. Would I divide the entire balance by a monthly payment or what? And how accurate would it be, based on the fact that a little more is applied to principal each month? Please help me figure this out! I just want to get an idea of how many more years we actually have until our home is paid off and officially belongs to us! Thank you for your help!

My employer is making me pay back money I did not take. When my shift was over the next person coming in counted down the cash and said it was even I signed it she signed it. Then after I left 8 hours later money was missing. My boss said because I didn't actually count it down I had to repay it. When I was not even working then. Is it worth $15 to get fired. Morally I know I didn't take the money, and also a whole lot more money went missing the next time the person worked. What is your opinion? Also, if I do get fired should I fight for unemployment and report to corporate what she is trying to do?
