My debt to income is low and I have a 700+ Fico. I plan on using it for car repairs and a few other expenses....

Will the amount they lend be based on ther purpose as well or should I state that I'm using it for something else in order to get the funds I need?

Part of the loan is going to an auto accident that I caused, so I really don't have a choice. I pay or I go down !

an unsecured loan is usually a high interest rate loan. and do you think that spending $12k on car repairs is wise?

if you do indeed have a 700+ FICO rating you didn't get it by making stupid decisions with money. heck $12k can almost buy a new car granted not a fancy one, but i won't need repair, and at least the interest will be about half the unsecured rate and you have a working vehicle.
