On every TV show/movie that involved Lawyers, you see them in the courtroom arguing a case. Personally, I want to be a lawyer that spends more time at the office than public speaking/aruging at the courts. What type of lawyer spends the most time at the office instead of the courts?? Corporate Lawyers?? Intellectual Property Lawyers?? Some people want to argue their case in front of a jury or a judge, I do not. I would like to give people legal counsel but not have to really defend anyone by arguing their case.

My home will be going for sale via a Realtor in days. There is virtually no or little market in my small town for homes. We've found the home of our dreams and MUST sell ours in order to purchase the other. I have a nice home, full of "charm" and "character" (quote from others and an appraisor), but we're worried because the market for homes here is so bad. What kind of little and affordable tricks can we do to help our house look more appealing to potential buyers. We do not have much money to put into selling the home and it will be sold "as is", but any tid-bits to help buyers find it more to their liking would be most appreciated.

Nothing illegal or harrassment...just a boss that micromanages, is a control nut, and drives me crazy. I can post into another job that I would be bored to death, but the boss and I get along well. Both pay equally well, same shift, and same location. What to choose -- job or boss?

Since historic stock returns are greater than after-tax mortgage rates, why ever pay principal on a mortgage?

Perhaps risk-averse investors might want to pay off their mortgage. However, shouldn't young investors (who can tolerate some risk) avoid paying down principal on their mortgage?

Shouldn't young investors take an interest-only mortgage and put all their savings into the stock market?

If so, why does everyone seem to believe that building home equity is a good thing? Building home equity seems like a bad idea to me because paid off principal earns no return and also you lose some mortgage-interest tax deduction.

I bought 12.20 acres for 30,000. The payment was 284.78 per month. The interest is calculated at 7.240% per annum. on a 15 year mortgage. After 4 years I've paid nearly 14,484.. and still owe 27,000. Thank you all, math certainly isn't my thing.

What would be a good name for a record label?
I want to know what would be a good name for a record label. I want it to be professional where it will become a household name and where it appeals to the younger generations. I only would like for serious people to answer this question. I need something that is not used yet and the name will set out. I was going to name my label Rigorous Entertainment but someone already got Rigorous Recordings.
