Our building has a tennant leaving. This leaves us with a big room (25X40) and two offices free for our use. about half of that space needs to go to storage and one office needs to go to be a new survey office. But the rest we would be glad to use to provide a benefit to our employees (~25 people)

Our best thought is to build a dividing wall and put a workout room in half of the big room. Stairsteeper, treadmill and a weight station. Oh yes and a TV.

Can you think of any other ideas that a ~20x25 space could be used for? I'm not sure if many people will actually use it. Or what would be your best suggestions for a workout room?

Also - It has a small bathroom, but no shower. We are in a small town and I figure people who work out at lunch or break wont need a shower and anyone who does a big workout after work can run home for a shower since plumbing is expensive. Any thoughts on that?

Hello, a few weeks ago this happened...

On a monday, i asked for the thursday off as a holiday, which would of been in the same week, my boss said no, so on the thursday i phoned in sick, but i was genuinely sick and was in bed all day, when i went in on the friday he gave me a letter saying as of the 6th (on the next monday) my employment is terminated, i asked him whats this all about and he said because he didn't believe me that i was ill, because i asked for the day off originally.

is that legal? can they do that? is it worth doing them for unfair dismissal? how would i go about it? thankyou.

All of my main bills go to my old address in Illinois, like my car payment, credit cards, and such, however I moved to California about a little over 7-8 months ago, and have had odd jobs on / off since I have moved here and I have lived in an Apt. here with my boyfriend for that last about 4 -5 months. Can I still file in Illinois? Or do I have to file here? (Any Illinois or California Lawyers out there that can help with this as well?) Any answers to this question are welcome.

The shoes cost $39.99, shipping to Canada $18.95 by UPS and then the UPS man presents me with another bill for brokerage fees of $29.55. The shoes had to cross the border but do they have to inspect them for bombs or something? What the heck are brokerage fees going to UPS for anyways? It is enough to stop someone in Canada using Ebay for anything!

There is a collection agencie that has posted two times in october,once in november and two time in december on my credit report, can they do this? I thought there was a law for this. And they are all for the same debt. What should I do, its killing my credit the debt is from 2004 and I plan paying in one lump sum but I am still saving. Will have money in two months.

I'm doing some research but just thought I'd ask on here, too. I am thinking of going back to school and taking art and creative writing classes, but I'm curious as to what jobs in this field that there will be after I graduate. I am paying PMI on one of my houses because I wanted to take the downpayment money to do renovations. Can I get any lisenced appraiser to find the new value of the house now that its done? Can I just take that to the bank and request PMI be dropped ?( its a local bank I always deal with ) not an out of town lender.
( assuming that the appraisal shows that I owe less than 80% of the value?)
I'm quite sure of that, we added another bathroom, another bedroom, and all new walls, carpet, and fixtures. it was a total gut job,
I just dont want to drop a grand on a new appraisal if the bank can reject it.
( yes I called the bank and they wont give me a straight answer ) they keep saying call OUR appraiser and have him look at it,
"funny how the banks appraisers always seems to think your property is worth EXACTLY what you borrow"
