credit card. The reason i asked was because i want to buy a few things over the net but they only want credit card users. I have a debit card but this isn't much help. If e-bay and amazon had or have physical shops where a person could just walk in and buy what they see would be good but i don't know if they exist in the UK. Do you think the banks could help.

I had great health insurance, but was fired from my job because I had a baby. My choices were: COBRA or another policy.

I plan on having another baby next year. There is NO insurance that will cover pregnancy, which was a $40,000 procedure the last time I gave birth. YES, they say they cover pregnancy, but there is a big BUT: They don't cover it within the first 2 years of your subscription.

I took the cobra. It is fantastic, and covers my pregnancy...BUT BUT BUT.....it costs $400 per month.

This is absolutely horrendous. It should be illegal to refuse to cover a woman's pregnancy, especially if she is paying for her insurance.

Of course, all these super-saver insurance deals have come up, but it doesn't save anything. There are $4,000 deductibles for families. How does that save money, when they already have to pay a monthly premium? My health insurance (for me alone...not my husband or daughter) is almost HALF my income.

Something is seriously wrong.

Since I purchased the house I put in a patio, finished garage, planted new grass, and some other improvements totaled $10K.

How do I report this on my taxes? As what improvement or repair? This is my primary residence.

Do I have to have the receipts to prove it? Plus I did the work myself and did not hire anybody?

How do I report and how much should be able to deduct?

Here's the plan:
1) Eliminate the income tax completely.
2) Pass a Constitutional amendment allowing the government to print money for its own use. The amount is limited and must be approved by a 3/4 vote of congress.
3) The government creates the allowed amount of money and spends it.

Results:
1) No one has to pay income taxes. Millions of hours of work are saved.
2) Everyone gets taxed, even criminals, because the printing of money causes a decrease in the value of the dollar, which affects everyone.
3) The ability to give special people tax breaks disappears.

Possible objections:
Yes, but it causes inflation. That's bad.

No, it's not bad, as long as it is controlled. Everyone will know exactly what the inflation effect will be and can act accordingly.

Will they send it to you and how exactly do you end up paying for what you order?
For exacmple:
I ordered something online and my pay options were credit card or by email...
I chose email and then a page with "my receipt" came up?
What does this mean?

I have discovered that the house I live in has a manhole in the living room - the living room is in an extension that was built at a different stage to when the house was built.

Now, do you know if this means the house is not fit for rental and should therefore have never been rented out? If so, can I sue the landlord and get my money back? I've been in the house for 4 years, but only found out recently when a neighbour renovating his house asked me if he could have access to the manhole in my living room to unblock the drain.

what do you suggest I do? I'm renting with foxtons, in clapham

I'm trying to get a new roommate for my apartment (online) and some of the responses I've gotten seem fake...like foreign people saying they want to live there when they move without seeing it...I just got a response saying she wants to pay with cashier's check...so are these scams (if so, how does it work) or just people who are bored and are faking it for fun or what's the deal? How do I find a good roommate anyway? I'm running out of time!

The dishwasher doesn't work. She said to buy some Jet Dry, did that, water won't reach top rack. Kitchen faucet runs (hot) water all of the time, I have to keep the water turnned off under the sink. The toliet won't flush, I have to lift the tank lid and stick my hand into it and manuver the float. The light fixtures are broken. I didn't see them, I look at the apt at night. I have something dead in the central air duct that smell so bad I can't turn on the heat. She told me 2 weeks ago she would send the heating/cooling man out, haven't seen one yet. That's all I can think of right now. Can I get out of my lease. I don't know if I can afford to move right now. But when I can afford it I will. Can I get out of the lease. She didn't even give me a copy of the lease. She told me she was out of legal paper. Help. Renter in Tennessee

I worked in a hospital for 6 months and resigned my job as my husband got job and moved to Oklahoma. Since the hospital spent all the expenses for bringing us here from India, they asked me the refund of the above expenses. The amount they asked me $ 9700.00 and we gave them post dated cheques and is being collected from us on monthly basis. So far we paid $ 5700.00. We did not receive any receipt for the payment. I would like to know if I am eligible for any tax refund on the above amount.

They have you sign a form saying if you don't close within so many days they can charge you more interest and costs. I am having trouble getting them to check things they say the appraiser said needed to be fixed. They have been fixed for some time but still no recheck. Time runs out for the extension on 12/20. Then I pay more. I asked and they say this happens all the time. Is this just their way of getting more money out of the person applying for the loan?

Our home in FL has sinkhole activity. We moved out of state and no longer live in the house. The monthly payment is killing us and waiting on the insurance company has been drawn out. They have decided to fix it, which could be another few months. We can't wait that long. So is signing the house over to the lender an option. How can we get rid of it fast. We are not looking to make any money, just cover what we owe.
