Who's the professional that can help a family figure out why they aren't doing any better than paycheck to paycheck living? Granted the family lives in one of the most expensive parts of the country to live in, but .... And how to assess this professional in advance to know if they are truly qualified to analyze and give advice?

I screwed up a job interview last Monday. I wanted the job so badly that my nerves got the best of me. When the interviewer said to me “Tell me about yourself”, I rambled on saying things like where I was born and why I majored in Accounting. I never told her my best qualities or strengths “I’m responsible”, “I can multitask”, and so on. When it was over, I knew that it had gone badly. Also, when she asked me what I have done all year (I graduated in December 2005, and haven’t worked) I hesitated saying I traveled for the summer and underwent minor surgery, nothing serious, and that I'm recovered now. I’m guessing she didn’t like that answer (duh).
However, the recruiter asked me if I would be available during the afternoon or the following day so the Manager could interview me. She told me she would call my cell and tell me the details for that interview. From the way she said it, I actually believed she was going to call me back despite my not-so-brilliant interview. But she hasn’t.

I've been doing some research and noticed the pay rate for my job is the same in CA as it is in NC and SC. Now I would like for someone to explain how can someone who makes less than 40k a year, qualify for an apartment that is over 1500 dollars a month? Especially when they require you to make 3 times the rent!

Does anyone else out there feel like this monster is eating everything alive! I mean how do you compete if you were a small business owner? There are shopping centers going up left and right! It's insane! I am not gonna lie, I shop at Wal-Mart and go eat at big corporate restaurants too, but being a previous small business owner I learned this the hard way... will it not stop!?
And are all future small business owners set up for DOOM?!

This company has the same message but use different numbers and when I called the Fair Trade Commission they said to get the name of the company which the company will not give me when I call this number. I explained they have the wrong number but they keep calling anyways. I am disabled and frustrated with them. One of the numbers they leave a message for me to call back at is 866-530-3819 . Does anyone know who this is so I can send them a certified letter telling them to stop harrassing me?
Also any other advice I can do to make them stop? Thanks!

increasingly without having solid financial planning knowledge. To many Americans are at the mercy of slick bank credit card promotions without a warning label for "Warning: Could be dangerous to your credit rating".

President Bush is an advocate of "If you spend it, you pay for it". Meaning he doesn't give a cr@p about you or me when all we had was a high school education and a minimum wage job. He was born with a silver spoon. Never worked his butt off just to make the rent payment.

Our government officials need to come out with an understanding that Americans having a lack of debt control. Its not instructed in high school. Basically, studies with goverment garuantee the banking industry over use of credit and the failure for Americans to maintain a good credit rating.
